Vassssup, im Bruno!

Bruno, wow! I thought it was sick-humored, and funny! I loved the part with all the rednecks hunters.

Bruno: [to his hunting partners]: Look at the four of us. We are so like the 'Sex and the City' girls.

Donny: No, no, we aren't, either.

Bruno: Which one are you, Donny?

Donny: I ain't any one of them. I'm Donny.

Bruno: That is such a Samantha thing to say.

Haha, if you liked Zoolander and Borat, go see this movie!

Atl!

Atlanta was pretty amazing! We got to drive up there in Lindsay's Father's BMW, so we looked cool when we arrived at the Marriott Marquis. Once we got there, we had to hurry so we could make it to Turner Field. We had to walk in the under ground mall to get to the terminal in which all the Turner Field buses were. When we got to the buses we had no idea we each had to pay.. it also had to be the right amount of money, cause you don't get your change back! When we got to Turner Field.. there were a... LOT of people! It was pretty crazy how many people actually go to Baseball games. Luckily I had already printed the tickets out, so we had no problem waiting in line. When we got past the gates, the two guys went to the field so they could catch balls. Lindsay and myself went to the Braves Store, shirts were $28.00 kinda ridiculous.. so we went and bought food instead. When we got to our seats, which was 10 rows from the field, the game was about to start. But, Greg Maddux all of a sudden came and retired his Jersey, and announced his retirement. My boyfriend said this was a Historical Moment, so that was really neat. Once that ended, the game started! Of course the Braves beat the Mets! After the game ended the fireworks started going off. We took a cab back to the hotel and tried going to the pool, which was closed.. so the guys went to the bar that was in our Hotel and had a few drinks. Lindsay and I ordered room service.. mmm cheesy pizza that cost $24. (It actually wasn't that good). The next day we tried going to the Aquarium.. but damn the lines were crazy, we looked at the Coco-Cola Factory, and it was also packed. So we took a walk to through the Olympic Park and walked to the Westin so we could go check out the top floor and look at the city. When we got to the Westin, it was $5 for each of us to go up there unless we were going to eat, it would be free.. so we just ended up eating up there. It was so COOL! The floor rotated, in one hour you got to see the whole city, while you ate. Lunch wasn't the pricey, and it was really good. I got a salmon sandwich with a cucumber salad, yummy! After lunch all of us just wanted to pass out, so we walked back to our Hotel, on the way back we spotted Hard Rock so we went there so everyone could get a souvenir. Then we went to the pool and fell asleep under the cabana, then took a swim. After that we decided to check out the Lennox Mall. But before we got there we had to ride to Subway, which was so awesome. (Okay, it was awesome to me cause we don't have subways here in Bft). It was $8 for each of us, just for round trip. . kinda expensive. When we got there we were looking for H&M, but that was somewhere north of downtown Atl. So we just said screw it, shopped, didn't buy anything, then went out to eat. We went to a very fancy sports bar called Donatellie's. I had mussels with potato's, it was really delicious! After that we walked around in Buckhead, it was really nice. You could tell that's where the wealthy stayed. We were going to stay in the JW Marriott in Buckhead, but we ended up staying in the one downtown. Next time, we are definitely staying in the JW, it was so nice! Then we rode the subway back, got to our hotel and went for one more quick swim! The next day we took pictures of the hotel, had breakfast at Starbucks (which was in our hotel). Then we went to search for H&M! .. I was kinda disappointed when we finally got to H&M, the store was not what I expected at all! I must say Atlanta's style is different, but come on! It's H&M, I thought they would have had something I liked.. :( after that we ate the California Pizza Kitchen, it was tasty. Then it was back home to good ol' Beaufort.

Talent Night!

Water Festival 09'

I went to Talent Night tonight, it's probably the only night i'll be able to go to since Im going to Atl this weekend. This year's Talent Show wasn't as good as last years Talent Show.. almost all the young girls sung Miley Cyrus's song, The Climb, (yuck). Other then that, everyone else was good. My brother's 'new' girl friend was in the Talent Show, who knew she could sing! She was really good, and she had my brother cheering and cheesing. (He kept saying "Yeah, that's my girl friend up there, whoo!") During the Talent Show I saw a few of my friends. It was nice to see them, since I haven't seen them in awhile. I also saw my friend, Dave, walking around.. in a green 'tight' man suit! Last year he was dressed up as a cat from a comic.. he's crazy. Let's see what he is dressed up as next year! It kinda sucks that I wont be here for any of the other Water Fest. Nights.. but hey, Im going to ATLANTA to see the Braves play against the Mets!

What causes them?

Yawns-
If your body is low on oxygen, your mouth opens wide and tries to suck more in. Yawning is a way to regulate the amount of carbon dioxide and oxygen in your blood. Unfortunately, yawns are nearly impossible to stifle.

Hiccups-
If you’ve frequently got a case of the hiccups, try slowing down when you eat and drink, suggests Dr. Plasker. Doing either too quickly causes your stomach to swell; this irritates your diaphragm, which contracts and causes hiccups. You may also get hiccups in emotional situations or if your body experiences a sudden temperature change. In both of these cases, the hiccups are a result of a glitch in your nerve pathways, which is why a sudden scare—which might shake up and reset your nerves—can sometimes end an episode.

Goose Bumps-
Those tiny bumps that cover your skin when you’re cold or scared are actually a defense mechanism. Goose bumps occur when the arrector pili, a tiny muscle that connects the hair follicle with skin, contracts and makes the hair stand on end. If you had more hair—like cavemen did—the upright hair would trap air to keep you warm or make you look bushier and therefore more threatening to predators.

Okay, we can relax all weekend..

Daufuskie was amazing! When we got to Hilton Head we did a little grocery shopping at Publix (Bought cherries, sweet tea, bread; from the bakery, chips, meat, pickles, tomatoes, beer, ice cream..bad idea, cookies, grapes, soda, cereal, and milk). After that we went to unload our groceries, and our bags onto the ferry, then went on the ferry. It was a thirty minute ride till we reached Daufuskie. When we got off we went to go get our golf carts and rode off into the sunset! Okay.. not really but we did ride off, to the beach house. Lindsay showed us around, the golf course is really nice, there were two pools, a club house, bar, restaurant, gym, tennis, crochet, horeses.. there was a lot to do especially if are a very outdoorsy person. That night we settled down, ate, then rode golf carts the whole night. The next day we went to both pools, spent almost all day there, then went to the beach house/restaurant. We sat outside, all of our food was really tasty, and a good price. We ordered a few drinks and talked to a few rich old people who were having the time of their life, drinking wine, and watching the sunset. Where we sat overlooked Harbor Town, it was nice just relaxing.. after that,it was back to the golf carts! Then on our last day we had to clean, then spent the rest of the time at the pool until our departure. I had a lot of fun, even if it was just relaxing all weekend by the pool, "being a pool princess as my mom would say".

Time to go!

Today is the day! Yaaaaay! Im going to Daufuskie Island with my boyfriend and our two friends, Lindsay and another guy named Jason (My boyfriend's roomate). It's going to be a lot of fun, I can't wait to just relax on the beach, or take a dip in the pool.. I will definitely take lots of pictures! (When do I not take pictures). But I must start packing! What to bring on a weekend trip, that's the hard part. Two pairs of shorts, one white, the other multi colored, one casual top, two dressy tops (one of them being white) , a casual white dress, peachy colored sweater, pajama's, three pairs of panties, swimsuit, neutral brown sandals, wooden bracelets, wooden necklace, sun-glasses, and a cute bag. I think that will do the trick, simple is always better!

One more daaaay!

It's almost here! The 2009 Beaufort Water Festival I mean. Unfortunately... I wont be here, I'll be staying in Haig's Point on Daufuskie Island for the weekend with Jason and two of our friends. The Island is near Hilton Head S.C., you have to get on a ferry in able to get to the island. There's no cars, only golf carts and bikes are your only way of transportation. There are golf courses, pools (which is where I will be), your surrounded by beaches, they have restaurants, a general store, a spa tennis, horse's to ride, etc.. I hear it's really nice! I can't wait to do something other then going to the Water Festival! All I will be missing anyways is the Opening Ceremony, The Concert in the Park, and Teen Night. I really just want to see the Talent Show which is on Wednesday, so it's going to work out perfecccctly! Now if only the sun would come out! It has been raining everyday this past week.. it rained a lot during last year's Water Festival, which was not fun! Annnd, next week I'm going to Atlanta to a Braves game! Woot woot!

Happy 4th of July!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July! Mine was pretty relaxing, I went out on a dock all day with my brother, Nick, and my my boyfriend. We went swimming, ate fruit, got to go on the jet ski, but the boys didn't get to fish, (Nick left his shrimp in the back of my car). Luckily it didn't smell.. After that we went home, ate sandwiches, then left to go to the Sands in Port Royal to go watch Fire Works! (The sands hosts fire works every year). Luckily we got to see Parris Island shoot off theirs as well. It was really neat, Jason and I sat on the beach right under them, it would have been romantic if 500 or more people weren't around, drinking, and being raucously annoying. Other then that we just drove my brother and his friend home, then went to Jason's where a few friends were lighting off fire works and playing games. Maybe next year, I will try go to somewhere else for the Fourth of July weekend. (If you know of any good places let me know).
