Nothing like good ol' Shrimp and Sweet Tea!

Tonight is the Waterfestival Lowcountry Supper, which consist of: tasty corn on the cob, shrimp, sausage, cole slaw, yummy watermelon, and your choice of Sweet Tea, or Lemonade. It was $15 to get in (that is if you wanted the supper, $10 if you just wanted to get in, and see the band). I found them both kind of pricy, but luckily Matt, who I went with, had tickets, so I got in for free! At the supper, you got to watch a live band, eat, come across old pals you used to hang out with back in the day, and the best part was the "Whistlers"! Your probably wondering what that is.. well, it's people who dress up, paint their belly's, put a trash can on their head, and move their hips, and whistle! As seen in the picture, it's really neat how they do it! And they are so good at it, too! I had a really great time!

Tropical Tuesssday!

Tonight was Tropical Tuessssday! It was a lot of fun! I love love love Jimmy Buffet and his music, and even though he wasn't there tonight, at least his music was! The Band that came tonight is called Parrots of the Caribbean. They sing Jimmy Buffet songs, along with their own. Everyone downtown had a great nightm there were drinks, people dancing, crazy outfits, tasty food, ha ha, it was just a great place to be! The lead singer, had some crazy outfits, when I first got there, he had an alligator on his head, then he changed and came out wearing fish from this shirt, and a lei of scarves and whatever else he could find to put on, then he came out wearing a fish on his head.. he was just a great performer! Here's some pictures-

That's Teen Night for ya..

So tonight was Teen Night, and that means.. trouble! I remember teen night a few years back, it was just a place where you could leave your parents, hang out with your friends, get some slushies, dance, and have a good time. Well, now all the 'Gangsters' have pretty much taken over.. I feel really bad, these kids just love to start things, such as fights. Well anyways, Teen Night wasn't bad, I stayed downtown and had dinner with Jason at Panini's. Then I met up with a few friends, we walked around, and talked.. well when Teen Night ended around 10pm. I started walking back to go pick up my little brother, while I was walking I saw police officers, ems, fire trucks, people running and coughing! I was serioulsy like "what the hell is happening!". I saw my brother's girlfriend coughing, and people were on the ground .. an older man was in an Ambulance! It was pretty crazy. I found my brother, and it was time to go! I found out that a fight between all the 'Gangs' broke out in the street as people were leaving! And my poor brother and his girlfriend along with other kids got stuck and in the middle of it, and then got maced!
.. It really makes me mad that this happened! Why do kids have to act so damn stupid? Do you really have to act like trash, and fight? It's like do they even have parents? And if they do, their parents are just as bad! They ruin it for kids like my little brother, who did absolutely nothing! And im going to say it is the black kids, who wear their pants to their ass, and talk dirty.. it's sickening. And I really wish something would happen, it's up to the parents, and if not the parents, it's up to schools! Bring back the 60's pleassssse! At least they had manners, and didn't act like monkeys.. And im not targeting all African Americans, it's just the ones who act stupid, and trashy. I really feel for the ones that do have manners, and an education, im sorry that you have to go through this.. Anyways, here are some picture I took of dinner (it was sooo good, even though they had no ice, and the only beer they had was Miller..)-

It was longer then an 8 second ride-

Jake Owen played tonight for the downtown Waterfestival, Concert in the Park. It was a lot of fun! It was $20 to get in (which is kinda pricy for a park), but it was well worth it! He is not only one of the sexiest country singers, but he is also a great singer live! And he's funny, seemed normal, allowed his pup, Burn, to run around on stage with him, he had people throw bra's, panties, and shirts at him.. lol. It was just a really good performance! I'm glad I got to go, last year I missed Little Big Town, but this made up for it. Here's some pictures I took of him :)
Did I mention I spent a few hours before the concert on the downtown sandbar? Well, I did, and it was pacccccked! Here, look for yourself-

55 years..

55 years of The Beaufort Waterfestival!
Opening night was a lot of fun! The Miltary had their bands come out and play, fire works went off, there was no where to park, too many people. . ha ha, but the best part was, it was FREE! The fire works were really nice, I didn't really get a chance to see real fireworks this year (since I spent my time in Fl), so that was really nice. I saw a lot of great people, who I haven't seen in years, there were a lot of hugs going around, that's for sure! The band played nearly all night- people were just having a great time. Beaufort is the place to be, right now! So if you are anywhere near here, do come. We'd love to have you! Here's a few pictures I took.
My brother and his girlfriend with the fireworks.Jody, my boy.Charley, my other boy (they are both brothers, the third one wasn't there).Sophia (exchange student), Ansley, and myself.Andrea and me-

You can find me.. in the the Nursery.

I went to Baker's Garden Nursery today in search of some tropical (Florida) like plants.. and came out with two beautiful dark blue Nile Lilly's and 3 Society Garlic. I guess we are just going to have to find the tropical plants in Florida. But here are a few pictures I took from the Nursery. Enjoy guys! And the picture up above was from the gorgeous sunset.. after a horrible storm we had, it left such an amazing sky scene!

Just say "Awwwww" ♥

Here are twelve little baby possums that we rescued today off of Bray's Island! The mommy was unfortunately killed.. which is just so horrible to think about! These people, live on a Plantation, where animals such as deer, possums, raccoons, squirrels, foxes, and others live.. and they can't even stand for these animals to be in their yards.. Can you believe that? They hate wildlife.. why in the world would you live around animals, when you can't stand them to even be in your yard? Well anyways, there were too many to handle, and they had to be fed by a tube, so we gave them to this wonderful woman named Dixie, who rescues wildlife. She is an angel.. I don't know what we would do without her! She has all kinds of rescued animals, anywhere from baby deer, to squirrels, possums, kittens.. birds. It's just unbelievable that she has to time and patience to nurture them back, until they are released into the wild. But hopefully we will get a few back in a week or two! (I know she needs all the help she can get!) Aren't they just soooo cute!

That ones nice.. and so is that one!

Property searching! Here is one over looking Broad River. It's three bedrooms, two baths.. it's going for $250,000! It's really nice.. and it's backyard views are just breath taking, especially at night! Isn't nice?
We also looked at property downtown Beaufort off of Ribaut Road. It's a pretty old house, it needs a lot of work! And when I say a lot, I mean a lot! It says it has three bedrooms, three baths. . but I think you could make a few more bedrooms, did I mention it has a guest house? and it's almost on an acre! Downtown.. wow. Asking price is $256,000. It is definitely going to be worth some $$$ in the future! Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of it. But we will see what happens!

Show your love..

Your Roxy
love that is! I love all of these outfits from Roxy! It's just so beachy, so girly, so cute, it's even a little sexy! When I'm at the beach I like to wear a dress, or a hoodie over my bathing suit, you never know if your going to end up staying out on the beach late at night, maybe sitting around a good ol' bonfire. What do you like to wear to the beach?
