I'm so lucky to live in such a beautiful place.

"God sleeps in the minerals,
 awakens in plants,
walks in animals,
and thinks in man".
Arthur Young

On the way home last night , I couldn't help but notice how amazing the sky was.
Of course I stopped and took a few pictures,
unfortunately I didn't have my big boy camera, but thankfully I did have a camera.
Thank you God for painting such a beautiful sunset!
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
I came across this truly amazing video of my town today.
Sometimes we don't realize what we have; I always say 'I can't stand this town' , or 'I want to move somewhere other then South Carolina'.. but then I see pictures, hear people talking, and see beautiful videos of this small town I live in, and it puts a smile on my face. I come to realize my town is perfect; it's the people I have a problem with. They are so nice, too nice, they all have that 'Southern Charm', until they talk about you behind your back.. this town talks, a lot. That's what you get when you live in a smaller town.
But other than the people being good or bad,
it is one of the most gorgeous places I have ever been, and I am so grateful to live here!
Wanna see where I live?
Please go here to watch the video!

DIY: Vases & Christmas Ornaments

Hello my beautiful bloggers-
I have this vase, which holds Lavendar in the bottom of the vase, & a candle in the center.
It was nice; ten years ago...
But now it's time to change that vase up!
So I found some silver vintage Christmas ornaments,
along with these other silver sparkly ornaments.
I set those in the bottom of the vase.
Then I took the the purple candle out, (which smelt like spring),
and added a simple white one,
which smells like Peppermint. --- A little more appropriate for the holidays!
And Ta Da!
It looks so much better with vintage bulbs!

Sooo what do you have planned on this Tuesday?
Me; Well I will be getting down Christmas stuff from the attic! - It's a bit chilly out, so why not start a fire, play some Christmas music, and get to decorating!
I hope you all have a great Tuesday!

My Secret Dealer

Nothing beats fresh,
I'm talking about fresh veggies of course!
I always purchase Kale, Collards, Turnips, etc. from an older man down the street who sells his stuff on the side of the road Thursday-Saturday. I know he doesn't grow it himself, but his produce usually looks good, and you can't beat his prices...
...until, last Saturday, on the way to the grocery store, my mum and I passed a blue pickup truck on the side of the road, the man was selling the most beautiful produce I think i've ever seen!
I told my mum to turn around, so we did.
When we pulled up, the man was in his truck smoking (I think he was smoking the good stuff if you know what I mean). I told my mum he was Jaimiacan! -I called it!
The man stepped out of his truck, he was wearing nice clothes, and one of those big Jaimican hats. He seemed so intelligent, he knew a lot about his vegetables!
We found out he grew everything he was selling, from the Greens to the Sugar Cane! And man was it gorgeous!
We got pretty much every green except for the Mustard and the Turnips.
Each head was only $2.50! You can't beat it!
You wont even pay for that at the Grocery Store.
The man said he's there every Saturday selling his produce; I think we found ourselves a new dealer!

I know your gonna be there..

For my birthday I told my parents I wanted to go to Asheville NC, and see the leaves change.
So my mum and I ended up doing that and had such a great time!
Then when I got back home, I left to go to PA, and had a surprise party thrown for my birthday (super fun!)
So on my actual Birthday, I wasn't expecting anything.
I did go Black Friday Shopping, (ugh yeah, remind me never to do that again..) Target was CRAZY! And the mall wasn't any better. I did find a pot that was on sale for $14.99 at Macy's, so my mum bought that for me as a birthday gift, along with Tommy Hilfiger pillows, earrings, and a Zebra Bra that was on sale for only $5 at H&M!
After shopping, we went back to my Aunt's house around 6 in the morning, I chose to sleep in until 12 (hey it is my birthday!) When I finally got out of bed, my aunt took my mum and I out for some Chinese. Then we went back to her place, I took a nap (hey, once again, it is my birthday!) When I woke up, my mum and I ended up getting the car packed and headed out. We did stop at the mall again, and did a little shopping. Then we went to Cracker Barrel, I was craving Pancakes with Peaches and Whip Cream! But the Cracker Barrel we went to was out of not only Peaches, but every other topping as well! -Damnitttttt!
So we ended up driving to Daytona, which was on the way home, so it was no biggie. Thankfully they had Peaches! And I got a free desert of my choice. I picked the Black Berry Custard with Vanilla Ice Cream. It was tasty! And it was the perfect way to end my birthday! Thanks Mum!
Then we took the long 5 hour drive back home..
But the next day my friends wanted to go out to Gilliagan's (they had all you can eat Oysters for $10). So I grabbed my brother, and headed there to meet up with everyone.
We had a great time chowing down on Oysters, and eating Hush Puppies!
After Gilligan's, I went back to my house, and sung happy birthday, and opened up gifts.
Then it was back out again with my bestie, Meghan!
Thank you everyone that made my birthday fun!
And thank you mum for the Cake, and the beautifully wrapped gifts, your the BEST!
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Soooo did any of you go Black Friday Shopping?
What kinda stuff did you get?
Orrr were you one of the smart ones, and decided to stay out of the crowds and eat Thanksgiving leftovers?

Gobble Gobble Recap

Hey guys! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!
As you all know, I went down to Orlando Florida with my family, to have Thanksgiving with all my other family. (Let me just add, we haven't had all the family together since 2001 and that was for Christmas! Yes, we are a strange family!)
On Thanksgiving day it was a rush to get everything done, my mum was getting Deviled Eggs done, along with Stuffing, the Turkey, and other sides. I was trying to get the Green Beans cut, and get the Pierogies Stuffed with Sauerkraut. My other Aunt and Uncle, (who lives next door), was in charge of making the Corn, Macaroni and Cheese, and Brussel Sprouts, along with some deserts.
At first we were going to have it at my Uncles house, then we were going to have it at my Aunt's house; who lives next door, and finally we just agreed to have it at my Grandparents house! So here we all are rushing to get food over to the Grandparents house. We were supposed to all meet around 1:30, then 2:00, then finally we got there around 4! As soon as we got there, it was time to set the tables, put all the food out, and get everybody seated! All the food looked delicious, but the alcohol looked even better! So there we all were making drinks and having a great time with our 'fun' family.
It was so nice to see everyone all in the same place! I hope we can make it happen more often, it's always great to see family!

Yes, we are a silly bunch!
How was your Thanksgiving?
Did you have a great time with Family and Friends?

The turkey is almost here!

I hope everyone has a beautiful Thanksgiving!
This is the only time of year where it's 'okay' to go back for seconds, so make sure you do that!
...then you can walk your behind off while you go shopping the next day, (this will be my first year shopping on Black Friday, why you ask? .. It's on my birthday, it's something new, hopefully I wont have to beat a bitch up ... just saying.)
And please make sure to be thankful for the sweet Turkey that gave up it's life for you..
I will be back in a few days, I'm off to spend Thanksgiving in Orlando FL with Family, this should be interesting... (can you sense the sarcasm).
Where will you be spending Turkey Day?

Let's give thanks

Is it me, or is Autumn just flying by..
I feel like this whole year has actually just flown by.
Everywhere I go, everywhere I look, there is now Christmas stuff in windows, lights on houses, people wearing Santa Hats, wreaths and Christmas trees are being put out, even Christmas music is on the Radio... whoaaaa people, let's give Thanksgiving it's time of the year, I mean it is one of the best holidays, you get to be with family, drink lots and lots of alcohol cause your family is stressing you out, eat lots of food, then you get to walk it off the next day for Black Friday Shopping, doesn't it sound oh so fun!
I have never really liked Thanksgiving, it usually falls on my birthday or the day before, and growing up, I could never have friends over cause they would be with their families and all, but now that I'm in my twenties, I kinda like that my birthday is near Thanksgiving, I love being around family, and how many people get a Turkey for their birthday? I love the whole Autumn feeling, and for now on, it's no more complaining!
I'm thankful that my birthday is in November, and I'm also Thankful for family, friends, pets, love, food, and most of all, my health!
What are you Thankful for?
