New Years Eve in the South

My town just celebrated it's 300th Birthday!
If there is one good thing about this town it's celebrating with music, food, beer, wine, festivites, fireworks, and the best of all, great people! I met a few friends down there, listened to some music, and watched the fireworks. As soon as the sun set, the fireworks went off, and they were beautiful! They kept going on and on, which gave my the perfect oppurtunity to snap away! (I did have to help out a new photographer to my left, who just bought a Nikon earlier in the day, and did not know anything about her camera). There was also a professional photographer for our Newspaper on my right, tripod -n- all. When I lifted myself off the ground- after taking pictures, I had been flipping through my camera, and I guess she had been snooping at my work behind my back. She told me I had taken much better pictures then her, (but yet, she had a tripod and a remote timer for her camera, I was thinking in my head, how could I have taken much better pictures then her?)... "Thank you", I replied. She asked me to upload some of my work onto her site, with my name on the pictures, "ugh yeah, of course I will"! So that kinda made my night! I'm hoping this year, I will get to sell my work, or maybe work for a local paper, or magazine, fingers crossed!
It was a great night downtown, I was so happy to see my friends, and most of all see the beautiful fireworks!
Happy 300th Beaufort!

Hello travelers..

You know what I love...
.....when random cute dogs, walk through my yard.

I was about to go play with my dog outside, and as I was walking out the screen door to go outside, I saw two dogs walking through my front yard. I let Max; my dog, out to go chase them off, (we have two hens, that we normally let walk around the yard after four, and we do not want any dogs in our yard, we want to keep them as safe as we can). So when I let Max out, he went after them, but my dog didn't even faze the other two dogs, they kinda just sniffed his butt, and vice versa... greaaaat job Max, you were supposed to be ferocious!
I walked to the side of the house where my parents and brother were standing, (they were working on our house), and had been watching the dogs. Max ran up to us, and the other two dogs followed. They all started playing around with each other, it was really cute. The little one kept following Max around, and copied everything he did. They black dog, stayed next to us. Neither of them had collars, but they were well fed, pretty trained, and you could tell they had been playing in the river/and pond behind our house. Me being the huge animal lover that I am, quickly fell in love, I immediately went and grabbed my camera, and the 100 pictures began! It was hard letting the little one go, he was beyond adorable!
I just hope they are safe, wherever they are...

News Year Eve

What is one of ways you can bring in the New Year?
By going to the Drive-in with your momma to go see New Years Eve! Well, that's what I did...
And it was great!
I know it's only Thursday, but still, it felt like I was ringing in the New Year while watching this movie!
I liked the movie, some might say Valentine's Day was better, but I kinda liked this movie a little better, maybe it's because Sarah Jessica Parker was in it, and she's my girl!
I did however think Michelle Pfeiffer looked kindaaa frumpy (she does not look good with dark hair), Katherine Hegil didn't look to great either (until the end), and Bon Jovi... looked a little odd, maybe he is just getting older. But other then that, it was cute. The end made me tear up a little bit (I will not say why, but there were two reasons, one dealing with Robert De Niro, and the other with Halle Berry).
And the end is the best part! Through out the film your wondering who Josh Duhamel is going to end up with, and it's keeps you guessing! I can't give it away for the people who haven't seen it, but let me just say, I don't think Fergie likeddd it!
If you haven't seen this movie, then go see it!
Hey, maybe it's something you can do on New Year's Eve!

Take me to Fernandina

I love road trips as you all know.
On yesterday's day trip, we (my family and myself), drove three hours away to Fernandina Beach, Florida. On the way we stopped at a Farmer's Marker in Yulee, grabbed some Green Boiled Peanuts. We drove through downtown Fernandina, which is always so pleasant to drive through, there are so many cute shops and they are always decorated so nicely! We stopped at the Marina, and took pictures of the Shrimp Boats. Then it was off to the beach. It was too cold to get out, so we just ventured down A1A; which drives along the beach, then hopped on a Ferry (which crossed the St. John's River) the ferry was only $5, it was soo worth it! After taking a million pictures on the ferry, it was time to grab some dinner. We went to Singleton's. As we walked in the restaurant, that was pretty much a shack, we noticed it was going to be awhile before we sat down! ---It was soo packed! When we finally sat down, it took twenty minutes to get our drinks, and nearly forty minutes to get our food. Let's not forget, the waitress was utterly rude to my dad, and got out order completely wrong! The food wasn't bad, I ordered Clam Chowder (Best in Jacksonville supposedly), and a Mahi Sandwich, my dad got the same thing as me along with some Hush Puppies, my brother ordered the Crab Burger and Conch Fritter's (which he never got, cause our waitress was a bit retarded), and my mum ordered a Salad, Turnips Greens, Black Beans and Rice.
After that it was time to head back home, it was a long three hour drive back,
but it was definitely worth it!

Good Morning Mean Green

This is what I'm having on this lovely morning.. (Looks really tasty doesn't it...)
It's called The Mean Green, sounds ferocious doesn't it?
Okay okay, I lied, I'm not really having the legit 'Mean Green', but I'm having another version of it..
I consider the drink I'm slurping on right now, to be The Sweet Green..

Okay people get your Juicers out, the 'Sweet Green' consist of:
1 Green Apple,
1 Banana,
1 Tomato,
1 Pear,
And some Pomegranate Juice.

Throw in a little ice if you'd like, and you have yourself a smoothie!
(and if your saying 'ugh, eww' to the Tomato, you don't even taste it).
So give it a try!

Now for the actual 'Mean Green' your going to need a little more balls for this one!
Okay people get your Juicers out, the 'Mean Green' consist of:
6 Kale Leaves,
1 Cucumber,
4 Celery Stalks,
2 Green Apples,
1/2 Lemon,
and 1 piece of ginger.

This is what my mum drinks every morning, and watching her face is pretty funny, she always says "mmm, taste really good", (but yet she's making that awful face while she's drinking the first few sips, the kinda awful face when you smell something raunchy in the air..).

Now Remember, you can add whatever ingredients you want, sometimes you have to add stuff just so you can acquire the taste. Not all green drinks are bad tasting, I just prefer mine to be a little more sweet, but like I said, if you have balls, then go for the actual 'Mean Green'. It's unbelievably healthy for you!
Did I mention my mum only sipped on The Mean Green for five days, and lost Six Pounds!!!

Time to get that party dress on

I would love to pick one of the three dresses above for New Years Eve, but unfortunately Free People no longer has those styles..
Soo I had to make due with what they did have, and I'm really liking the choices!
I'm not really big on the color 'black', that was usually my safe color a few years ago, and when I look back on those few years ago, I hated seeing that one color (all the time).
Lately, I have been wearing a lot of cremes and neutral colors, which I love, it's so girly, and oh la la!
I do have three dresses hidden in my closet for those special times, such as New Years Eve, and I am so ready to bring them out!
Of course they don't look nearly as fun as the dresses below, but I'll make due with what I do have (and save some money)!

Do you have a New Years Eve dress picked out?

Christmas post!

I hope everyone is having a very Merry Christmas!
Did Santa bring you what you wanted?
Just being with my family was the bestest gift ever!
It was a very relaxing Christmas; the family watched Christmas movies all day, opened presents throughout the day, ate lots of candy and chocolate, enjoyed looking at the beautiful tree with all the presents underneath it, had the fire crackling, and I ate some tasty potato salad mmm mmm good!
How was your Christmas?

Let's take a look at Christmas Eve

I love our Christmas Tree,
 it's simple, but yet elegant,
with vintage bulbs, glittered pinecones, and beautiful birds.
I could stare at it for hours...
and the gifts are a plus!
I don't even want to open them cause they look so pretty underneath the Christmas Tree.
Christmas can you stay for just a little bit longer then a month, pleaseee....

This is what my Christmas Eve looks like..
