Gettin' a little mud on the tires

It's about time we get a little mud on the tires.
The boyfriend and I went trail riding with two other couples, my boyfriend drives a nice Ford F150 (which is behind us in the picture), the other guy drives a nice Chevy Silverado, then you have the redneck kid in his Overalls, in his older crappy looking, off-road Toyota which is what your supposed to have when you go on trails, and mudding, in case you mess it up, it's not a big deal.
When we got on the trail, we were only supposed to stay on the trail, my boyfriend kept saying, I haven't done anything with this truck, I don't want to screw it up, . . . . and then he saw the redneck go up a hill, and through the mud pit, and there my boyfriend went, following the redneck, and then the other guy with the Chevy went and drove over the hill and through the mud pit..
Guys will always be guys, and they will always be competitive with each other.
They all did it, and it was a lot of fun.
And then the redneck got stuck in his Toyota out near a lake, and my boyfriend had to pull him out, and that pretty much ended the night.
It was a lot of fun acting young, and reckless, just having a good ol' time in the mountains of Pennsylvania!

Pretty find of the day..

See these lovelies below?
I bought seven of them for only $1
Oh how I love a good deal...

Glass drawer pulls go with anything and everything.
I love how you can make a single piece of furniture romantic just by adding a glass drawer pull. Or you can add them to an old rustic kitchen for an instant pick me up. You can even leave them on a tray as a display, maybe with some pretty flowers.
I'm going to add my drawer pulls to a built in cabinet in my bathroom, I cannot wait to see how they are going to look!
How do you feel about glass drawer pulls?

To my number one man in my life...

Happy Father's Day to the number one man in my life.
You have taught me everything I need to know.
You have always been there for and I know you will always continue to be there.
You have always loved me the best you could,
of course there were times we butted heads, but in the end, I knew you had to do it to teach me a lesson, and looking back, you did such a great job as a parent.
You are literally the smartest man I know.
There isn't anything you can't do, you set your goals high, and you accomplish them.
You have made me the person I am today, and that person is pretty amazing, just throwing that out there.
You have taught me to work hard for what I want, to love, to enjoy life, to say hell with work for the day and let's go fish, to get on that road for the day, and find new places, to enjoy family, to not be afraid to cook, to keep things clean and tidy, to ask questions, to try even if I fail..
I am so grateful to have you in my life, I might not tell you that everyday, but I am.
Thank you for being my dad.

Happy Father's Day to all those wonderful men out there!

What are you going to do for Father's Day?

Baby get your shine on

Hey ya'll,
it's been over a  year since I have updated this blog!
.... WOW, where does time go???
I have had so much happen over the past year, I moved from the beautiful coast of South Carolina, to the Poconos of Pennsylvania, to be with my boyfriend that I have been seeing for two years.
It was a big change, but I was willing to do it, and I'm so happy I did! I realized, apart from missing my beautiful mother, my smart father, my butt head brother, my friends, the lowcountry, and that saltwater air, that there was more out there. It was hard leaving that first month back in November, but my parents said "try it, if you do not like it, you can always come home". And that was nice.
As of right now, I'm actually back in the South! Enjoying the salt air, loving my sun kissed skin, being next to a pool on the weekends, and most of all being with my family and my pets! I have been here since Mother's Day, and I will be leaving a few days after Father's Day, it's a long vacation, but I'm not complaining!

Since I've been here, I have done a few photo shoots.
This first one is of my handsome brother, Nicholas, and his beautiful girlfriend, Hope. These pictures were taken on a Farm that is right on the river, you could smell the saltwater through the Corn... it was pretty peaceful out, perfect for kissing under the Pecan Trees, and messing around on John Deer Tractors!

Taken with a Nikon D3200, with lenses 18-55mm and a 55-200mm.
All natural light, apart from the faded pictures, which was the only thing edited.
