Hello Laundy Room

It's time to finish the laundry room!
My parents laundry room has never been finished. (My father likes to move from project-to-project). But it's time for him to finish this project!  It's such a small room, it can easily be finished within a few days. I am just so tired of walking in the their, and seeing the mud on the walls, the ceiling that needs to be redone, and the doors that need to be painted. I can't wait to show you all the finish project. I do have to give my father credit, he is a perfectionist, (that's why he takes so long to actually finish a project), but his work is unbelievable, with the help of my ideas of course!

This is our before laundry room....

Change is good..

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Hello ladies,
I just wanted to show you the color I'm painting my walls.. the name of it is Natural.
I have all four of my bedroom walls painted. But I don't want to post pictures yet, I still have the trim, and the ceiling to paint. (Oh boy). I had to mud yesterday, then I added the first coat of paint, when I woke up this morning, I noticed some more nics in the wall, so I had to re-mud, then paint again! It's such a long project, but it's well worth it! I love the color, it's so cozy, instead of that awful cold white I had before.. Did I tell you guys that for Christmas my parents bought me all new bed stuff? That's right, they got me a white duvet cover; that feels amazzzzing, they got new sheets and pillow cases, two new striped throw pills, a dust ruffle, andddd a fabulous headboard! -All from Ikea- Oh and they got me the cutest painting by Pablo Picasso! I can't wait to show you all after I'm finished!

This here dog, is named Max... he always loves to be right next to me. Unfortunately he does not move once he finds a place to lie down, so while I'm painting, I have to move everything around him.. myself, which takes a little bit of time. -damn dog. He's lucky he's cute while he's sleeping. -and oh look, he even has his own little pillow to prop his head on.

He's just a cute white bird..

New new new! This is one of my newest paintings, he he. Isn't he cute? I cannot tell you how many times I redid this bird! He was going to look more realistic but I kept getting his shadings all wrong.. so I gave up and just made him fun looking, which turned out to be better! But his eye still bothers me, ugh.

It's cheerful!

Sorry I haven't really written anything 'interesting' in a few days, but that's only because my mum and I have been painting the living room. It has taken a few days to get it done, and we are almost there! All we have is trim paint, the bead board, and the bookcases! (Trim is kinda of a long process..). I'm just soo happy it looks good! I love the color yellow, it's just so cheerful- and it's not like bright yellow, more of a creamy yellow. Did I mention my parents living room hasn't been painted in like 20 years! Okay maybe more like 18.. but still! If you look at the fireplace, you can see where the mirror was, thanks to all the smoke from the fireplace. I just love painting, it now looks so good! (You can't really tell in these pictures, but it does look good!)
I hope everyone has a great weekend! It's Friday, go out and have fun! Me, i'm staying in tonight and watching Ally Mcbeal!

Grab it, save it, paint it, love it!

My dad found this buoy while fishing awhile back, and I thought it would look a lot better if it were painted, like some of the other buoys we have. So I decided to grab the Acrylic paint, a few paint brushes, a sanding pad, and head outside to paint! I wanted it to match the other buoys we have so I went with the colors: Apricot, Harvest Orange, and Banana. It turned out to be really easy, you should try it! If you want to try it all you have to do is- find yourself a buoy, the older the better! If you live anywhere near a marsh, just look along it and you'll see some that have floated off crab-pots. (Don't go take anyone's buoy though!) if you can't find any in the river, just go to your local Marina Store or anywhere that sells stuff for boats. They are usually under $15.
Then your going to need some acrylic paint, which can be found at Wal-Mart, Michaels, or any art supply place.
Just a plain paint brush will do.
And a sanding pad.
Start off by sanding the buoy-
Then paint your stripes however you want. (I did mine kinda wide).
After you are done painting the 'colored' stripes, go ahead and paint your white stripes.
After it dries, go ahead and sand it one more time, the sanding gives it a used looked, if you don't want to sand it, you don't have to. I just like mine to look like they have been used.
And Ta Da!

What a cock!

I'm really loving these rooster's paintings that are selling on eBay! They are so artsy, and colorful.. they would be perfect in my future Florida Key's home.. *dreams*. My mom actually surprised me with the one up top! I told her to bid on it, and if it went higher then twenty, I didn't want it. Unfortunately, it went higher, by what me mom said. Well when we were looking on eBay the next day, she was like "what did that one painting look like that you wanted", and I replied .. "I don't know, it's too late to go back and check". Then she showed me the seller's past history, and there was the rooster painting I wanted; with my mom's name as the winner! I had a pretty big smile on my face! :D She's so sneaky.. But here is some more artsy roosters.

It feels nice..

I have started painting at Bray's Island again, and im loving it! I was so tired of sitting on my butt at home doing absolutely nothing! Im also glad that the weather has been rather perfect, warm during the day and cold at night. (But it's not going to be that way for long). I also enjoy being out in nature, listening to the birds and squirrels.. there are also these ducks that have flown in that are hanging out in the freshwater pond next to the house that im painting at. Did I mention that I love painting? I have no idea why, but it is so relaxing.. it's way better then any other job I could be working at, that's for sure!

Well I have to go get ready, im going shopping in Bluffton!
