Time to refresh!

That's right,
it's time to do a little cleaning!
I guess I consider this my 'spring cleaning' time.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
I finally went through all my drawers, and closets, and whatever I haven't worn in over 6-8 months, is going! And if I can't fit in it, it's going; for instance, I will never ever be able to fit in a size 0-2 skirt again, ha! So if your that skinny, lucky you! There were also some other skirts and dresses I love looking at, but I only wore them a handful of times, so I need to give them to girls that will love them!
It feels so good to just get rid of stuff- I feel clutter-free, stress less, rejuvenated!
I guess what I'm trying to say is, I feel better, it feels so good to not have much, and to be organized.
And hey, I think of it as "get rid of the old, and something new will come".
Hello spring clothes!
Just kidding, I'm going to keep my 'buying' on the down low for awhile.

What about you?
Do you have a lot of unworn clothes?
 Do you donate?
 Are you organized?

Bye bye cute dresses,
I'd say I'm going to miss you......
but the truth is, I wont even know your gone.

Lazy kinda day

It's quite a foggy morning,
the air is warm, but the light breeze makes for a good chill..

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Kinda makes me wish I back in bed, all cuddled up, with a good book.

Cuffs & Bling

My mum has been looking for a cuff for awhile now,
 and needless to say,
I think I might have found some she just might like, (she might just get one of these beauties for her birthday coming up in a couple of months).
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
My favorite is the Cheetah Print Cuff, you could wear it with anything,
 a little black dress,
 jeans and a white-t,
a long sleeve button down with khakis,
 even some lingerie..

Beware, you might get hungry.

Hello Whole Foods in Charleston, SC.
Every time I visit this place, I always have an empty stomach, NOT GOOD!
All the fruit always looks so delicious as you walk through the front doors of the market, beware of all the samples everywhere, do not dare walk past the pizza, you might end up ordering a slice or maybe a whole pie, and whatever you do, do not, I mean do not walk past the deserts! Nothing like dipped Strawberries, tasty fruit cakes, Truffles, Creme Tarts.. mmm, mmm, mmm!  (I did however splurge on a Blueberry Muffin, I just couldn't help it!) Now for the salad bar, go for it! It's always fresh, and they also have many sides which are fattening, but oh-so-tasty! Like Sliced Red Skin Potatoes, String Beans with almonds, Sliced Carrots, Wild Rice, Macaroni-n-cheese..mmmm! I'm making myself sooo hungry right now! Thank goodness I'm no longer at Whole Foods!

So are you feeling a bit hungry right now?

Splurge on yourself!

That's right girls,
 go splurge on yourself today,
or better yet this weekend!
Whether it's on  jewelry, lunch, a glass of wine, maybe even a movie..
Go for it!

I spent a little over $5 on some pretty little flowers..
and let me just say,
I've been smiling since!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend-
And remember about the 'splurging on yourself', you deserve it!

Laid-back Friday

This look isn't glamorous,
 it's more laid back,
which is my kinda style for the weekend.
I like the combination of the leather, with a pop of color from the Turquoise earrings, but yet, your keeping it low with the white button down, and khaki's.  So simple.
Western Class

I am going to try my best to copy this outfit for a much 'lower' price. Heck I already have the boots, the bag (yes mum, I'm talking about your beautiful leather bag), and the scarf, all I need is those pretty little earrings, a white button down, and some khaki jeans and I'll be set to go!
What do you like to wear on the weekends?

Beauty Favorites

These are a few of my favorite must have's!

I am more prone to having oily skin, and if you are too, then you should try a a few, if not all, these wonderful must have's of mine!

1. Garnier Nutritionist Moisture Relief, this is such a fabulous product, especially for the price! I usually put this on after I wash my face. It makes my face soft, smooth, and it has the right amount of moisture to where it doesn't make it oily, or greasy feeling.  Bye bye dry skin!

2. Clinique Mild Liquid Facial Soap, I have tried over ten or more face cleansers, which usually leave my face red, oily, dry, or with acne. But this cleanser is perfect for my skin, I used a sample of it (and have been for the past two weeks), and instantly noticed my face clearing up! It doesn't irritate my skin at all, nor does it leave it red, or with acne. The price isn't too bad, $16, as long as it keeps doing it's job right!

3. Estee Lauder Advanced Night Serum, now this product is quite pricey, but well worth it! I use this every night before going to bed. When I wake up the next morning, my skin looks so refreshed! (This I believe is what will help my wrinkles as I start to age).

4. Estee Lauder Day Wear, this too, is pricey, but when I can afford it, it's a must have! Everyone needs some type of SPF during the daytime, this has SPF 15 in it. It doesn't clog my pores, and I feel as the day goes on, it helps my skin look better. It's like a PM repair cream or something. Love it!

5. Dr.Weils Mega Mushroom Soothing Lotion from Origins, (now this is my mums, and she has no idea I use this, after she reads this, she will). After I wash my face, I like to use a type of Toner, unfortunately, I no longer have my Witch Hazel in Rose anymore, so I saw this, and thought I'd give it a try. Well the results were pretty good! This is what makes for a clean face! Just take a cotton ball, and rub across your entire face one time, and it will instantly feel clean! (Then look at the cotton ball to see all the dirt you missed while washing your face, ugh ew). This is a pricey product, thankfully, I didn't have to pay for it!

6. Desert Essence Tea Tree Oil Cleaning Pads, I use these for the what I call 'lazy days', when I do not want to wash my face, I grab one of these Tea Tree Oil pads and swipe it across my face. Ta-da, so clean after one swipe! And thankfully the Tea Tree Oil smell isn't too over-powering. Just make sure not to get it around your eyes! This product is probably the cheapest, it's usually around $4! Can't beat that!

So there you have some of my beauty must have's!
What are some of yours?

Somewhere Sunday

I really dislike spending my Sunday's inside, so I decided to spend my Sunday out at The Sands in Port Royal with my fun brother, and our pup, Max. It was rather cold when we left the house, but at soon as we got to The Sands, the wind stopped blowing, it was perfect! It was nice walking on the beach, looking for Sharks teeth, and other shells. It was low tide, which meant we could look underneath all the oysters for teeth. My brother wanted to have a competition on who found the most teeth, I let him win. Even though I did find the biggest! There were other dogs out on the beach, running around, jumping in the ice cold water.
It was so very peaceful, watching the dogs run around, people feed the Seagulls, boats drive by, people searching for shells..
We took a walk on the boardwalk, up the pier, and watched the sunset. The river was calm, not a ripple in sight. We watched all the Seagulls, Pelicans, and Herons disappear into the night sky. Instead of going back on the boardwalk, we decided to through the marsh trail. You could hear all the little crabs scatter across the ground, hiding in their little holes beneath the marsh grass. The night sky was so beautiful. I'm so glad I got to spend it with my brother, he is growing up too fast, and I want to spend as much time with him as I can, and same goes for Max, you can never spend too much time with your pup!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
I sure did!

Hello Sunday

Yes, Cracker Barrel has nothing on me..
Pancakes with Peaches, fresh Strawberries, and Blueberries, along with a cheesy Hashbrown Casserole.

Oh how I love Sunday mornings...

What did you have this morning Love's?

Wishing for Spring to come..

I'm wishing for Spring to come..
For the past two weeks, it has been beautiful here in South Carolina, in the uppers 70's.
As for today, it is in the 40's, and I'm not liking it.
But in my house, it's a different story; I have planted Paper White's, which makes it feel a little bit more like Spring. I rescued these little guys from Target, they were on clearance for $2.98. They were too cute to pass up.. a part of me wishes I would have grabbed some more little guys. I however am not liking the red pot that they came in. It doesn't really go with anything. So I had to think out-of-the-red-pot...
I have a tray that sits on a table near the window, which holds a few bottles of wine, and some mineral water, along with some glasses; which have never been used.
In my head, I thought of something perfect!
"Why not plant the bulbs in the glasses"?
And that's exactly what I did.
Now it definitely feels like Spring in the living room!

Do you have anything growing in your house, bulbs, flowers, plants, even veggies or fruit?
Are you ready for spring to come, or are you enjoying this "sitting by the fireplace, drinking hot cocoa, time of the year"?

Vegetarian treats

I am a Vegetarian and let me just say I see a lot of 'change' now, rather then ten years ago. It used to be so hard to fine Vegetarian food, my mum could only get it in Health Food Stores. But thankfully, most grocery stores, now carry stuff. Whole Foods, and Earth Fare are always the best places to find all the main Vegetarian Foods. But we have to drive an hour away for those places.. luckily our local Grocery Store carries these items below (which are all my favorite)! I am starting to see a lot more Vegetarians, which I love! And did I mention a lot of Vegetarians are drop dead sexy? Have you ever been in Whole Foods or Earth Fare... damnnnn, there are some good looking men, who do not eat meat! and there are also some very beautiful women. Then you have the freaky, earth people.. that are a little too strange, and don't believe in Razors. (They aren't so hot, but I am glad they care about our earth). Anyways, after blogging for a few years, I have run into some Vegetarians here and there. It's always interesting to see what their meals consist of. And here I am to show you what I like to eat! Unfortunately, I can't afford these meals all the time, but when I do, I am a happy little Vegetarian!

1. Amy's Minestrone Soup (Low Sodium): It so tasty. Enough said. Actually all of Amy's Soups are pretty good! I however throw some fresh sliced Onions and Tomatoes in mine for extra fresh flavor.

2. Morning Star Buffalo Wings: These are probably my most favoritest of everything! (I actually just had a few for lunch). I have had people tell me "they taste better then real chicken!" I usually dip mine in Mustard, and I like to take the Hearts of Romaine Lettuce, and dip those into Mustard, too. -Yes, weird. But really good!

3. Amy's Bean Burrito: My mum actually got me started on this a few years ago. They come in real handy as a quick lunch or dinner, pop it in the Microwave for 3 mins. and it's done!

4. Boca Burgers: Who wants to eat 'real meat, which you have no idea what's really in it' when you can have this tasty, mouth watering, meatless, Vegan hamburger pattie? Pour a few drops of Worcestershire Sauce on that pattie, heat it up in the microwave, or grill, toast some Onion Burger Buns, throw on some Tomatoes, Pickles, Onion, Lettuce, and Mustard, and you have yourself a juicy 'meat-less' Hamburger!

5. Morning Star Sausage Patties: I also have people tell me this taste better then the real thing. And when I buy them, or my mum buys them, they somehow always end up in my father, or brothers mouth! ( & let me just say, they eat meat). They are so yummy, also dipped with Mustard or on a Biscuit, with eggs. You can eat them for breakfast, lunch, or dinner; or maybe as a snack.

Have you ever tried any of these tasty things?
Do you eat anything Vegetarian?

Beauty Home Remedies

We all love home remedies, am I right?
These are a few that I found to get you through these winter months.
Most of the ingredients for these remedies can be found in your own kitchen.
I'm definitely going to try the Coffee Bean and Cucumber remedy!

To hydrate dry skin use: Honey
Squeeze a dime-size dollop of honey into palms, blend it with your regular face wash, and use the mixture to give your face a deep facial. For a body wash, use a walnut-size dollop of honey.

Soothe puffy eyes: Chamomile Tea
Steep two chamomile tea bags in warm water, then place in refrigerator to cool. Squeeze excess fluid from tea bags and place over tired eyes for 5 minutes.

Quench parched locks:  Avocado
To make a nutrient-packed hair mask, mash an overripe avocado and mix in an egg yolk and 2 Tbsp. of olive oil. Massage into damp hair, wrap under towel and leave on for 30 minutes. Rinse, shampoo and condition your hair as usual.

Smooth and exfoliate:  Coffee Beans
Dip a wet washcloth into leftover coffee grounds and massage into damp skin from neck down to slough off dead skin. Concentrate on cellulite prone areas like thighs to tighten skin.

Revive tired skin: Cucumber
Puree 1 small cucumber in blender, then add 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour. Stir until mixture is thick and pasty. Apply to clean, dry face and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.

As simple as that!

What are some of your special remedies you like to use?
I would love to hear about them!

It's one of those days..

Here in good ol' South Carolina,
the weather is nice; I mean like upper 60's nice.
(Are you jealous, you should be).
And you know what I'm in the mood to go do?
Fish.
I wanna put on my blues, along with my chunky wool socks, slip on some Duck Boots, grab my Plaid, and let's not forget the rod, and head out to the river to enjoy this beautiful day.
*But no,
instead I'm being forced to go the Dentist, which I dread. (Are you still jealous, you should not be).
I hope everyone is having a lovely and (Dentist Free) Tuesday!

Bachelor Recap:

Hello Bachelor Fans,
sooo how did you like tonight's episode?
I liked it, other then crazy blogger Jenna, and hot-mama-cougar Blakely.
I do however not like all the crying.. oh my gosh girls, go put on your big girl britches and get outta the bed, and stop hiding in the the luggage room!
I loved watching all the girls act, it's always funny to see such hot sexy women act all silly in funny costumes! I did like when Blakely was a Gingerbread, she looked much better dressed like that!
I am kinda confused on 'model' girl, Courtney. Infront of all the girls she's so cocky, and awkward...but around Ben, she's so sweet, and you start to like her, then she turns weird again as soon as she enters the house! Ugh!
And who the hell are the two blonde's at the end of the show, (during the Rose Ceremony), that they never show throughout the show? I know one got voted off.. but who is there other one? Did anyone notice her during the show, maybe it's just me.
I am still rooting for Lindzi, and I also like the one that brought her Granny, she kinda reminds me of Samantha from Sex and the City. This is the part I like, is when you start getting to know all the girls! I can't wait for next week; who is going to come onto the show, so exciting!....Not really, it's just a show.
Bye bye crazy blogger Jenna!

You wont believe your eyes...

When I got home earlier today, my father asked, "did you see what your brother caught earlier when we went fishing"? I'm thinking, a Flounder, Shark, maybe a Toad Fish.. man was I wrong! My brother walks in the living room, holding his camera, and sits next to me. I grab his camera, to see just what he caught, and I immediately had to take a double take... He caught an Octopus? Are you kidding me? How? .. Then I started asking all the 'other' questions, like how did it feel, was it big, how did it smell, was it cute, did it bite, did it suction-cup your hand, did it try to eat you? I mean this is (I'm going to use one of my brothers famous words).... EPIC! When do you ever hear of people, none the less my own brother, catching this amazing creatures of the sea?.. They don't seem as excited as me, but I think it's pretty awesome! It's a good thing I didn't go with them earlier, or I would have been coming home with the cute little Octopus, squeezin' him, and lovin' on him, until he squirted ink on me, then he'd have to go! (And yes, he did squirt ink out when they tossed him back in the water). How cool!

So the question of the day is... have you ever caught an Octopus? Or maybe some other strange creature of the sea?

It's worth it, trust me.

Why hello Vitamix...

The other day, my mum and I were in Charleston, shopping at our favorite Whole Foods. As we were shopping, we passed this guy demonstrating The Vitamix. "There it is, the Vitamix I have been wanting", my mum said. I really didn't care about the machine, I more so, cared about looking for Dried Pineapple that was right next to the machine. After we shopped, we grabbed some Pizza (Whole Foods always has the best Pizza). But this time, it was just gooey, and ewwy! The dough wasn't cooked in the middle, and it made my mum and I sick.. so we went to return it. When we got our money back, we decided to go splurge on some Sugar Cane Cherry Cream Soda, but we splurged on a little more then that! As we were walking to the soda isle, we passed the Vitamix again. We walked over to the table, and looked at it, and looked at the brochure. This guy, named David, walked up and said he was about to make a few things with the machine.

1.Smoothie (delicious).
2. Ice Cream ( which included Zucchini, Yellow Squash, Avocado... crazy, huh? But soo good!)
3. His version of the Green Juice (minus the Grapes, that he no longer had).
4. Soup! (Yes, he made soup out of the Vitamix!)

This guy had my mum at hello pretty much. He was charming, and he was an unbelievable cook! The Vitamix was starting out at $450, but the stainless steel was $500. As we were watching him work his magic, a woman came over and grabbed the last black one. So my mum was left with Stainless, or Red. She went with the Stainless of course. It might have been pricey, but it was definitely worth it! It also came with an extra year warranty, instead of seven, she gets eight years. The next day, she tried it out, and I could hear here in the kitchen "there is no comparison", "good-bye juicer and blender", "muhahaha".. okay, she didn't do the whole "muhahaha" thing..but still, she was so happy! And that my friends means, the Vitamix was definitely worth every penny! (And she will probably have it for the rest of her life)!

Revenge

This is by far the juiciest show on television, every episode just leaves me wanting more!
....why couldn't it be two hours long?
PS. Thank you for taking that creepy, conniving, gay, Tyler, away! He just gets on my nerves, and he cut Nolan's arm! ...No one messes with Nolan! He's to cute, even if he is gay...

Did you like this Episode?
Are you into this show as much as me?
Are you glad Tyler is finally gone?

Kisses to all and goodnight!

Want right now

As I was reading a few of my favorite blogs today, something caught my eye that I have never seen before.
It was these beautiful feather earrings, I saw them on Captivated by Grace. She was wearing a pair in her outfit post, and they immediately caught my eye! I love anything handmade, but these, I want, they are so different looking, and they could go with just about anything! I really like the ones she's wearing, the colors seem more vivid, but the faded out ones, would work just as well. Throw on a white shirt, these earrings, a scarf, pair of blues, and some cowboy boots, and you've got a completely adorable outfit!
I wish I had the talent to make something like this!

Do you like handmade stuff?
If so, where's some of your favorite places to buy them?
