Trick o Treat!

Happy Halloween
So instead of being little red riding hood and the wolf, my boyfriend decided to be Dracula, and I was a zombie, along with my brother, his girl friend, and two of his friends. (So I guess we were really a 'pack' of zombies). My mom was a WITCH! She is one every year, but mannn she does it like no other witch I've seen! It was a long day, my mom and I went to yard sales, Good Will, Salvation Army, Red Door.. pretty much everywhere trying to find cheap, crappy, zombie makin' clothes. We ended up finding a few things, My brother's girlfriend and I were house wife zombies, so we dressed in pajama's and bathrobes (sprayed with blood! and smudged with dirt!). We were going to dress my brother and his friends in dresses.. but they chickened out cause my boyfriend wouldn't do it. So they just dressed in white shredded bloody clothes. By the end of the night you couldn't tell if my brother were a zombie or a dirty stripper boy! His friends ripped off his shirt so he was walking around pretty much topless the whole night.
Trick o Treating wasn't that bad, we got some candy.. but this year it just seemed like everyone was done by 8-8:30ish.. and all the little kids got handfuls of candy, as for us, we only got one or two pieces. :( But oh well, we still had a pretty fun night.
Well, I hope everyone else had a fun and safe Halloween!

He popped his pumpkin carving virginity..

Pumpkin carving time :) so tonight my boyfriend Jason and myself thought it would be fun to carve a pumpkin! We went to Wal-Mart and they had nooo pumpkins but last night they had tons.. then we went to Food Lion, and they had no pumpkins either. I was getting quite upset cause I really wanted to carve one. (By the way, this was my boyfriends first time carving one, so I wanted it to be special). We went to my parents house to eat dinner.. and I was just like "you know what, I'm going to carve the huge ass white one outside", and I did! We both carved something into it, it's just so BIG! I carved a crow, and he did a vampire. I think he did a little better then me, and this was his first time. It was fun though, I'm glad we finally found a pumpkin!

Hello from Amrum!

So I got a postcard in the mail today from one of my good ol' German friends, Micha, (who was an exchange student here in Beaufort two years ago). I always wanted him to send me a postcard, since I collect them.. and he never did, until now! It was definitely a great surprise! Germany sure does look different from Beaufort! I would love to one day visit-

Such a funny squirrel!

On Sunday Max went to the doggie costume party downtown at Hemingways and guess what? He won!! He had the scariest, yet cutest costume. (He was a squirrel by the way). He won a big rope toy, so I think he's pretty happy. He was running around with it all day. There were some other cute dogs, but I didn't get to take any really good pictures of them- there was a bumble bee, tootsie roll, sailor, devil, ghost, princess, and of course a pumpkin! They were all so cute, and I believe all dogs won a little something. It was being hosted to help "Chain Free" dogs in South Carolina. They also had bobbing for bones, they had doggie cup cakes, doggie shots (without the alcohol), children activities, hot dogs and burgers were $2, and they also had a silent auction. I really hope they raised some money that day, cause I'm not for dogs being chained up!

Can't decide..

Tomorrow Maxwell, my dog, is going to be in a doggy costume contest at Hemingway's, which is a bar/restaurant downtown. I still don't know which costume I like him better in.. the big orange pumpkin or the one thing he hates most, a squirrel.. hmm. He just looks so adorable in each one!

That one friend who puts a smile on my face..

Melanie Perez - Oh Mel, you truly make me smile. You are one of the most amazing people I have ever met! Every time I think of you, I just remember all the fun times we've shared ( & the more that will come).. You have always been there for me, and hopefully you always will be. We have always had that "special" connection, we can talk about anything.. farts, boys, Moe's, Sex (and the City).. and so on. As much as I hate to think about it, I really am glad that; someone that rhymes with Mucus, came into my life, cause if he hadn't then you wouldn't have. I love you sweetie! anddd by the way, your going to be Jason's best man! So you have a lot to look forward to in the future-

Let's just keep it a secret-

Okay, so I thought I would share one of my newest and possibly favorites perfumes it's Amber Romance by Victoria Secret. It has a really sweet, tropical, girly scent.. that's not at all over powering! (Unlike my Burberry Brit perfume, you just need one little spray). I find it so hard to find that 'right' scent. They smell so incredible in magazines, then you actually spray them on yourself and your just like eww!! I bought Marc Jacob, Daisy.. thinking since it smells good in the magazine it will have to smell good on me, well.. it has to be one of the worst scents! I usually wear Burberry Brit, DKNY Be Delicious, or Calvin Klein Midnight Obsession. And I really love Chanel #5 .. it's such an stunning perfume, but I can only wear that one on special occasions. But for now, I think im going to stick with the Amber Romance..

(Did I mention I got this bottle for 25 cents?)

Shrimping Season..

My boyfriend, little brother ,and his friend are going shrimping tonight! I have never 'actually' thrown a cast net, but it looks like a lot of hard work! But hey, at least your getting dinner out of it. The only bad thing about going tonight is that it has to be one of the coldest nights yet this year! They are going to freeze their ass's off, ha ha. But I'm sure they will have fun.

One little change..

Don't you just love when your local Talbots has a yard sale? I do! I found this picture frame, the one with the bike, and thought.. "hmm, I don't really care for the bike but I really do like the picture frame". So I brought it home (along with other pictures that were from Talbots), and put a picture of a tomboy cat that I got from Key West. This is how it came out- what do you think is better?

I can't be another banana..

Hmm, what would be the perfect 'couples' costume for Halloween?? How about Little Red Riding Hood and the WOLF! Last year I was a banana, it was hilarious, and I think I totally outdid myself more then any past Halloween. (The best part was I made my boyfriend, at the time, dress as one also)! Ha ha. But this year I want to do something a little different, and I'm going to try to out do myself like all the other Halloweens. They just keep getting better and better as I keep on getting older. Did I mention that Halloween is pretty much the best holiday?? I can't wait to go knocking on peoples door saying "Trick or Treat" , getting all the candy.. gosh, I'm such a kid.

An apple that smells like a rose..

So I just ate an apple, and while I was eating it, I kept smelling this nice flowery aroma.. it turns out, it was my apple. I let my mom smell it and she was like "mmmm, it smells like a rose".. there you have it - an apple that smells like a rose. I have never had that happen, but it was quite a nice experience!
