We need to be elegant..

Let's talk the 18th Century. For one thing, I love the clothing back in that time, very elegant, classy, and gorgeous. Even the men dressed amazing, in their velvet coats, and top hats. Here are three movies that take place in that time. Pride and Prejudice is a favorite of mine. The men in this movie are so handsome, and the way they are dressed.. yum! (I like a nice man in some sandy jeans, and white t-shirt, with boots.. but you can't beat the Velvet Jackets, and Chiffon Shirts, with Beige Tights, and Knee High Boots). The women in the film were just as gorgeous, but nothing to far-out like the wardrobe in the film Marie Antoinette. Now those are some gorgeous gowns! And that hair, .. trying doing that everyday! Even if it's a wig, could you imagine holding that up on your head all day while you were working. I love how in that film everyone was dressed in elegance. The one film I haven't seen yet is Young Victoria, but I'm dying to see her wardrobe, along with her man's. All the gowns look stunning! I must go rent it today! But the one film that beats all these films is Ever After.. it was the first 18th century film I fell in love with, the clothes, the 'man', the castle, the scenery. I loved it all! I just really adore that time. I know it was hard, but I think it was worth it. That's when you really knew how to dress, and fall in love.. ah.. now there is no more romance..
Whats your favorite film set back in that time?

Such a funny squirrel!

On Sunday Max went to the doggie costume party downtown at Hemingways and guess what? He won!! He had the scariest, yet cutest costume. (He was a squirrel by the way). He won a big rope toy, so I think he's pretty happy. He was running around with it all day. There were some other cute dogs, but I didn't get to take any really good pictures of them- there was a bumble bee, tootsie roll, sailor, devil, ghost, princess, and of course a pumpkin! They were all so cute, and I believe all dogs won a little something. It was being hosted to help "Chain Free" dogs in South Carolina. They also had bobbing for bones, they had doggie cup cakes, doggie shots (without the alcohol), children activities, hot dogs and burgers were $2, and they also had a silent auction. I really hope they raised some money that day, cause I'm not for dogs being chained up!

Can't decide..

Tomorrow Maxwell, my dog, is going to be in a doggy costume contest at Hemingway's, which is a bar/restaurant downtown. I still don't know which costume I like him better in.. the big orange pumpkin or the one thing he hates most, a squirrel.. hmm. He just looks so adorable in each one!
