Spring Break in Panama Beach

Spring Break 2012

I went on my Spring Break a few weeks ago to Panama Beach, FL.
Three friends of mine, and myself, went.
It wasn't like MTV, but it was a great time!
We were there for three days, we spent our days out on the beach, with a cold drink in our hand. At the pool, relaxing. Meeting people, most people were from Michigan, Ohio, or Tennessee. Our hotel, Seahaven, was like a college dorm, It was fun while it lasted, but next time I'm staying at the Hilton. (I can't take loud music playing until 6 a.m.! Thankfully our AC was really, really loud to block out some noise). We ate at some tasty places, hello Buffalo Shrimp, and Tuna Dip with chips. We went to Happy Hour two times in one day, our bartenders were quite amusing, I miss them. One of my friends and myself hitch hiked to the liquor store, oh yeah, did I mention we got picked up by guys on Mopeds.. that was a fun ten minute ride, it sucked that we had to walk all the way back carrying liquor though. We went to free bars, who would spend a $25 cover charge? The local free bars are way more fun then ones you have to 'pay for just to get into'. I got to dance with a really old guy, but damn did he have some good ol' country swinging moves! I got to shop like a tourist, but the only thing I bought was postcards, that's a lie, I bought my new bag down there. We went down there with tons of alcohol, and even bought some more, but the day we were leaving there seemed to be lots of alcohol that hadn't been touched.. I guess that's how you know we are getting older, we only have a few drinks, instead of the whole bottle! I got to wake up early and walk the beach alone, I sat in the sand and watched the surfers, then along came a storm, a very big storm, it was such a great time to take pictures! We sat in the back of a truck and rode the strip, turns out the guys driving were as old as my little brother! (There were tons of under age kids). But the best part of Panama was riding on a free bus and not going to any bars, instead we just hung out with the driver, we loved you Jarrod, thank you so much for making our night!
Being down there was such a fun time!
I'm so glad I got to go with my girls!
I usually spend Spring Break relaxing, or working, so I needed to experience this, especially Panama Beach!

Farewell Panama,
 next time I come,
it was be in the fall,
when you aren't invested with youngsters, drunks, and loud people!

Niagara Falls, NY.. trip recap:

Hello my beautiful bloggers!
I am so sorry that I have not been writing..
It's been weeks, hasn't it?
Well I went through a lot in these past weeks, my brother's 17th Birthday was on February 6th, so I celebrated that, I can't believe he is getting older! It makes me sad.. I wish he was still ten, and played with toy trucks, and played with bugs!
I then left for Pennsylvania, to see my boyfriend; I ended up flying in on his Birthday! What a great birthday present, huh? My Popeye (that's what I call my boyfriend cause he has really really big muscular arms) turned the big ol' 26! I landed there pretty late, so we went out to dinner, hello Olive Garden. Then back to his place to open a few small gifts I got him. The the next few days we saw friends, went bowling, went to a western/country bar that had a bull, went out to eat, watched movies, played in the snow, etc! Then it was off to Niagara Falls for Valentines Day, he surprised me with the most gorgeous ring! It was just a gift, but a beautiful one! We went to lunch at a really tasty hole-in-the-wall Pizza joint, I ordered pasta, he ordered a large pie. Then for dinner we went to TGI Fridays, which was really good! We saw the Falls on the United States side; this summer we are going to go to Canada's side! Let me just say, it is very cold! Everything was iced and snowed over, it was such a fun experience! It was one of the coolest places I've been! Note to self, if you want to see the Falls at night, go to Canada's side; you can barely see anything on the United States side. After our few days at the Falls, we ended up driving back, I loved driving through Buffalo, NY. I think it was really pretty, but that was probably because of the snow. I did like seeing all the Buffalo's on the side of the road! (There really are Buffalo's there!) The drive back was really fun. I love getting off the interstate, and driving on back roads, seeing all the old barns, gorgeous farm houses, cows in the snow, wind mills, nature. Perfect for whipping out the camera!
After I left Pennsylvania, it was time to celebrate my dad's birthday, he turned 52 years old! He's an old fart, huh? Not really, he still has a while to go! We went to Florida for the day, it went from being happy to all of a sudden throwing the GPS out the window! I guess that old age was kickin' in... oh birthday's, they are so fun!

Anyways here's some pictures from my trip to Pennsylvania, and New York!

Have you ever been to Niagara Falls?
What did you think of them?
 Which side were you on?

Rickett Falls Hike

Things to do in Pennsylvania:
My boyfriend took me to Ricketts Glen State Park.
Let's just say it is at least 10 miles of walking, and yes, you will hurt the next few days after you hike the Falls. Since I only brought flip flops and Keds with me to Pennsylvania, I was kind of limited on what to bring on the hike. Of course I wore the Keds, but as far as clothes go, I wore Jeans and a long sleeve shirt... yeah, bad idea! I was so sweaty, and hot. And let's not forget it rained as we were ending our hike. And we drove the motorcylce to the Park. The hike wouldn't have been too bad if I had on normal clothes, and hiking shoes, or at least sneakers. Luckily Corey brought us waters, and I brought some Wasabi Almonds for a snack. I was doing good halfway through the hike, then my knees started hurting. And as we were walking up the mountain Corey kept speeding up, me, I kept loosing my breath, which wasn't good. All in all, it was a fun experience. The Falls were so beautiful! I'm so glad my Corey took me there. Next time, we will be prepared!

Nothing like fresh veggies..

So here I am in Pennsylvania, in a garden of fresh veggies, to my left there are Cucumbers, and Broccoli, in front of me there are some pretty big Bell Peppers, to the right there are Tomatoes, and String Beans.
Everything but the Tomatoes, are perfectly ripe. Tonight we will be having Cucumber Salad, some type of Broccoli Salad, and fresh String Beans..
Mmmmhmmm!
