I love me some Yard Sales and Farmers Markets

My flowers... :)
Saturday is a time for yard sales and Farmers Markets and I think it's time to start going back to them! I used to go all the time with my mom, then for some reason, yard sales started to get kind of unpleasant.. so we stopped going to them.
So I thought, hey, since it's been quite a few years, let's go try it out. We actually got a few good things! We got the movies Big Daddy, Mean Girls, Tales of the Crypt Keeper, Love Stinks, and another brand new movie for $2 each. We got three recycled wood picture frames one for $2, another (which is a little bigger then the two dollar one) was $3, and this white rustic picture frame for $2. My mom also got some things-
Then after the yard sales, we went to Port Royal, which hosts a pretty nice Farmer's Market, with live music! You can find anything from different varieties of apples, onions, peppers, squash, pumpkins, or you can find tomatoes, okra, peanuts, bull grapes (yum), flowers, bread.. even puppies! The Humane Society was there selling puppies to good homes. It was a lot of fun, and I'm glad Beaufort offers something to go do on the weekends.
(I'll post pictures later).
Yesterday was also Jason's and my self's six month! We didn't do anything cause he had to clean (he's moving).. so he said we will do something in two weeks. But he did take me out to Panini's and he surprised me with flowers and a sweet card at my house.

It has to look and feel good..

I think we found our new sofa! It's called the Reagan Sofa, it's on sale right now for $599.99 (was $699.95) at Pier 1 Imports. It actually looks like it cost more then it is, which is always good. I tested it, and I have to say, even though it wasn't one of those big, comfy, unattractive sofa's, it was still much better then the one we have at home right now! At least three people could sit on this one, or someone could lie down. Now all we have to do is maybe find one or two chairs to go with it.

The feeling you get..

The first days of fall... make me smile. You can just tell it's fall as soon as you wake up, you go outside and you feel the cool air, you see the leaves falling off the tree's, the sun isn't even up yet, you can even smell last night's burning of the leaves from other people's yards. Beaufort doesn't really have a so called "fall", but earlier this month it was kinda cool outside, and the leaves are falling, they just aren't turning pretty colors before they fall. (That's what I wish I could see). When I went to Clemson, we took back roads, with the green moss all over tree's, the leave's were changing into red, yellow, and orange instead of green.. it was just so beautiful. I love that feeling! Whoever get's that in their town is really lucky, and im seriously jealous of them! But in November, I' going with my parents up to Williamsburg VA. for a few days just so we can see the last good bit of fall. I was there a two years ago with my mom, aunt, and my brother.. and it was definitely one of the best places to travel to during this time of the year! But anyways, with fall, also comes yard work, so I must be off.. Byee- (Click on pictures to get the prints from the site).

Rawr, kinda like a Tiger..

I went to my first Clemson Football Game!! It was a lot of fun, other then the fact it rained thirty minutes into the game.. then the game got delayed twice (waited 30-50 mins. each time). Ha ha, Jason, my friend Ansley, and myself sat in the rain like idiots while everyone else had poncho's and rain jackets. But Clemson ended up winning! There were sooo many people, it was crazy kinda crazy how many people actually go to these college football games! It was fun though! There is a tiger paw on everything in the town of Clemson, which is neat. It gives the town a little "something". Did I mention it was beautiful up there, the leaves were changing, there was no litter, everyone there was nice.. I really liked it. After the game we drove over to Anderson and went to the mall. I went to Victoria Secret and bought a Clemson dress! :) . . Who knows, there might be so "Tiger" in me..

Shoes, shoes, shooooooes ..

I seriously wish I had extra money just so I could go crazy-shoe-shopping! All of the heels shown below are from Urban Outfitters and do they look nice or what.. Instead of a boyfriend, I want shoessss.. okay, maybe I want my boyfriend, too. Is there anyway I can have both? It would be so nice if I lived in an are where I could actually wear heels, but since I don't, I threw in some flip-flops (which I already have, and I'm thinking about getting some more cause they go with everything). Anyways, I think all I want; as far as gifts go, is gift certificates for shoes. :)

"Isn't all you could dream of and moreee.." -Daniel B.

Today was my first golf experience, and truthfully, even though I wasn't playing, I still had fun. My boyfriend and his brother invited to me go golfing with them in Palmetto Dunes, in Hilton Head. (His brother, Daniel, works there as a security guard so Jason gets to play golf for free sometimes). We had to rush there to make it to their t-time, but as soon as we got there, there was no where to park! There was some meeting going on, luckily an older gent. was leaving, and his parking spot was right next to where you start your first hole. So they started off putting first since there were people in front of us. Then the golfing began! Jason did really well, actually they both did. Until the end... Jason broke two clubs in one day. So he wasn't too happy. He did end up winning though, but he was kind of disappointed cause he was trying to beat his all time score. Reminder: whenever you go golfing, make sure to bring, water, a few snacks, and sunscreen! I was there without any food.. and the concession cart is quite pricey. But other then that, it was relaxing, watching the guys play. Maybe someday, i'll actually play, and be better then the guys.

What a cock!

I'm really loving these rooster's paintings that are selling on eBay! They are so artsy, and colorful.. they would be perfect in my future Florida Key's home.. *dreams*. My mom actually surprised me with the one up top! I told her to bid on it, and if it went higher then twenty, I didn't want it. Unfortunately, it went higher, by what me mom said. Well when we were looking on eBay the next day, she was like "what did that one painting look like that you wanted", and I replied .. "I don't know, it's too late to go back and check". Then she showed me the seller's past history, and there was the rooster painting I wanted; with my mom's name as the winner! I had a pretty big smile on my face! :D She's so sneaky.. But here is some more artsy roosters.

What models..

I didn't get a chance to watch the new America's Next Top Model since we had to go the funeral, but luckily The CW posted the full two hour show on their site, so I got to watch it! So as I'm watching it (with my boyfriend) I'm just like.... Okay, what the hell... they make 5'7" - and shorter girls look stupid, or at least they picked some fairly immature girls. The whole show was just kind of weird, they had a Jesus freak, a girl who didn't show any emotion, a young mother, a girl that castrates cows, a girl who hurt her ankle and has crutches (which takes a lot of work, so I give her credit), a woman that seriously bitches about everything, her eyes, her hair (she doesn't even have hair!).. did I mention that they didn't even pick the some what attractive girls. But once they got their Ty make over's they started looking better. I guess we will just have to see if any catch my eye during the next show.

Expect, the unexpected..

My boyfriend and I got in a slight argument today, but man did he make it up to me! The whole night was kind of off.. first my boyfriend took my brother and his girl friend to the movies, the only good movies playing just happen to be Rated R, so he got them tickets, but as soon as I got to the movies, my brother was walking out saying they wouldn't let the in, that him and his girlfriend needed a parent signature, so I was just like great.. I went inside, argued.. and ended up leaving, with two kids. After that incident, we rushed to Upper Crust before they closed.. when we got there, they were cleaning and vacuuming.. but we still had twenty minutes! So that kind of sucked.. so we just ended up going to Sonic which turned out to be kind of fun. As we were eating there a car pulled up with some younger kids from Jason's church, they were at some High School function, then another car pulled up with kids more of our age that also went to Jason's church. Jason had the bright idea to start throwing ice at each table, which turned out into an ice throwing fight! It was a lot of fun, it felt like we were all twelve again. After that, we walked back to his truck and it was perfect, the music, ice falling off of us.. Nick kissing his girlfriend. . all I wanted was a kiss and some reason he just gave me a peck, "nooo".. I said,"I want a real kiss"! He pecked me again, then kind of just shoved me in the truck. So on the way to my brother's girl friends house.. I kind of just didn't say anything. Which made Jason think something was wrong. So once we dropped Kate off, he was like "why do you do this".. and the arguing began! After the arguing, which I really didn't even care for, it was so pointless, he dropped me off at my car which was at the movies.. Nick rode with him. I kind of just sat there.. then my brother called and asked where I was, I said I was going to Wal-Mart. Then all of a sudden Jason called, and he acted all sweet, and said he was sorry. Once I got to Wal-Mart, I just walked around then as I was walking to my car, these older ladies were walking in front of me and it sounded like they were saying "Admira".. "Ohh Admira".. I was kind of like okay, let me just hurry up and get in my car. When I went to open the door I saw a bouquet of flowers on my hood, and I looked around the parking lot kind of in awe, then Jason ran up, and kissed me. It was sooo sweet! (And I believe those women were saying Admire.. ) Ha ha.

What a rush!

We left late Wednesday to Atlanta so we could make it to the viewing around one the next day. When we got to Decatur (Atl) my father had to use the restroom quite bad. So we drove around to five gas stations, and guess what, none of them would let him use the bathroom! I thought that was pretty crazy.. then again all of them were Pakistan's that owned the gas stations. So my father ended up using the bathroom behind a fence at Churches Chicken. Ha ha! After that we were off to find a hotel, good thing we had my boyfriend's GPS, it got us to one in no problem. It was just kinda pricey.. the woman at the hotel desk offered us either free parking (you have to pay to stay the night, wow), or two free breakfast coupons, we decided to take the coupons, she also threw in an extra coupon. So we went to our room that was right across from the stairs. Our beds were really small for being full size, but we somehow managed. The next morning my mom took a shower, then my dad, and then my brother.. I was telling them to all hurry so we could go get breakfast. Then my dad said "take a shower and we will go eat somewhere else", so I did. Well the woman at the hotel desk said breakfast ended at 11:00 so we thought hey let's run down there and eat since it was only 10:30. When we got there, it was all cleared/cleaned up. So we exchanged our food coupons for free parking. Then we were off! We drove to Stone Mountain cause we had two hours to spare. Then we went to Moe's for lunch. Then we went to the viewing, which was sad and kind of awkward cause everyone was just standing around. The flower's we got were beautiful, and so were all of the other flowers. It was nice seeing pictures of Aunt Susie, all I could think about is, how nice it would have been to see her one last time.. after the viewing we went to the Chapel, it was a fast ceremony. Then everyone talked and said their good bye's.. and we were off, back to Beaufort. On the way home we went to Bass Pro in Macon G.A. , it was HUGE! And it had the most amazing fish tank! I thought that was pretty cool.
But im glad we went, it was nice seeing the last few people on my Father's side of the family. I really wish I could see my family all the time, cause you never know when they are going to leave this world..

Rest in Peace Aunt Susie..

Mrs. Susie Boyd Anthony of Stone Mountain and Panama City, FL, died September 6, 2009. A native of Emanuel County, she was the daughter of the late James W. and Bernice Youmans Boyd. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, James "Jim" Anthony; son, John S. Anthony of Stone Mountain, and daughter and son-in-law, Heather A. and Wade Collins of Tallahassee, FL. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at A. S. Turner & Sons. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & Sons at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 10th.
Susie was my father's half sister, she was such a funny person to be around, I always liked seeing her, even though it was only a few times. I wish I would have gotten to know her a little bit better; now that im getting older, I could have maybe had a drink or two at her Tiki Bar down in Panama City. There is not much that I can say, other then her death was unexpected.. I think it put everyone in shock. But now she is in a much better place, with other loved ones who have passed, and waiting for the ones that are still here, to come home. I'll miss you Aunt Susie, I will always remeber when you told my brother in the elevator (fairly tipsy) that "you looooooved him". Haha.

The right sofa for you..

Looking for the right sofa is pretty hard to do. We bought a Martha Stewart sofa set (sofa and two chairs), a few years back so we would have some furniture to sit in while we were still redoing our living room. Well, after years later, we still have some stuff to redo in our living room, like redo our ceiling, paint the walls, and put up trim. But after much consideration.. I have come to the conclusion that our living room will probably never get redone cause our house is still not done, so we should just go out and buy a new comfortable sofa since everyone is always in the living room. After going on a few sites, here are some that have caught my eye.

Labor Day..

For Labor Day, Jason decided to take me to Savannah for the day. We went to the mall, walked around, bought a cinnamon and garlic pretzel, then headed downtown. We went to Forsyth Park, we walked around the fountain, sat in the grass, watched these guys (all of them had pony tails) play volley ball, and then we decided to go splurge on some mussels and cheese fries at the Grill on River Street. After that, we took the trip home.It was nice going out of town for the day since I have been sick for the past week. Now it's time to let go of summer, and let fall make it's way in.
