Out in the lowcountry...

On the way out to Edisto, SC, for Memorial Weekend, I stopped here at King's Market.
Produce Stands bring an instant smile to my face, I just love the atmosphere; the fields of flowers, fruit, veggies, stray Cats napping, Chickens and Roosters, adorable big Dogs in truck beds, the people are always friendly, the store is just laid back..
I could spend all day at a Produce Stand!

What about you, do you like Produce Stands?

I'll be eating tasty food in ...

Charleston, South Carolina, at the Bluerose Cafe'.
It's a little Irish Cafe'.
I've said this once, but I'm going to say it again, if you are ever in Charleston, you have to try this place out! It's called Bluerose Cafe', they serve homemade specials every night on the chalkboard. Their menu alone, is just amazing! I always have a craving for their Flounder, whether it's pan-seared, grilled, or baked, it is divine! My mum loves to order the Veggie Burger, with Homemade Fries that will knock your socks off!
This place has the best service, out of any restaurant I have ever been to!
Every time I took a few sips of water, the waiter would be coming around the corner filling up my glass, he asked how we were doing three times, he brought are food out in a matter of minutes, I mean this guy was awesome!
I think it's funny how, when we used to pass this place up, it would be so packed, you couldn't even getting a parking spot. But when my mum and I go, we seem to be the only people eating, there might be two-three other tables, but in the end we are the only ones! It's not weird at all, as a matter of fact, I love it! You can actually hear yourself think, or hear the other person talking.
It's such a great place to go with friends, or on a date, hey or even with your mum! If you don't like sitting inside, they have a nice front porch with huge umbrellas, and pretty flowers surrounding the tables. It's such a great place to go, it's a little treasure in Charleston!

I have always wanted to try their desert, but I always end up with a full tummy!
One of these days, I will just go in their to order a tasty treat! If their dinners are amazing, then I'm sure the desserts are, too!

Beware, you might get hungry.

Hello Whole Foods in Charleston, SC.
Every time I visit this place, I always have an empty stomach, NOT GOOD!
All the fruit always looks so delicious as you walk through the front doors of the market, beware of all the samples everywhere, do not dare walk past the pizza, you might end up ordering a slice or maybe a whole pie, and whatever you do, do not, I mean do not walk past the deserts! Nothing like dipped Strawberries, tasty fruit cakes, Truffles, Creme Tarts.. mmm, mmm, mmm!  (I did however splurge on a Blueberry Muffin, I just couldn't help it!) Now for the salad bar, go for it! It's always fresh, and they also have many sides which are fattening, but oh-so-tasty! Like Sliced Red Skin Potatoes, String Beans with almonds, Sliced Carrots, Wild Rice, Macaroni-n-cheese..mmmm! I'm making myself sooo hungry right now! Thank goodness I'm no longer at Whole Foods!

So are you feeling a bit hungry right now?

Charleston Thrifting

i love thrift stores

Yesterday my mum wanted to go to Charleston, and do a little shopping. Something kept telling me to go to this one Thrift Store; the last time I was in Charleston (dropping the boyfriend off at the airport), something told me to go in the thrift store, but it said not until your with your mum. And when I say "something told me", I'm referring to my gut.. I guess it's my gut talking to me.
Anyways yesterday we were running late, we were near the Outlets which is in one direction, and the Thrift Store I wanted to go to, was in the completely opposite direction. We hit traffic.. and the time was clicking. But I wasn't in any rush, which is unusual. I just said to myself, if it's meant to be there, it will be. Well luckily we got there and had thirty minutes to look around. As we walked to the back of the store, my mum spotted these Vintage bowls that she loves, a set of three, (in Pennsylvania, each one of those bowls go for $22- and up)! She got hers all for under $7! Great deal, huh?
Well she picked her bowls up, moved a few more feet, and found an old Vintage dog, a few more feet, she found an even bigger one! She has a few in her bedroom, she likes to put her pearls all over them, they look so French! I think each one was under $2.. they are pretty cute!
I guess that feeling I got was right, it wanted my mum there so she could find her bowls and doggies!

Thank goodness it's Friday!
And I am definitely enjoying it!
I hope everyone has a beautiful weekend!

Only $4.99, what what!

That's right, these beauties were only $4.99, at Goodwill!
I was driving home from Charleston and something kept telling me to go to Goodwill, well, I passed it, ended up turning around, pulling in the parking lot, and going in. As soon as I walked in, I saw a glow coming from these boots, I hustled over, slipped them on without even looking at the size; they were the perfect fit! -And they looked pretty brandnew!
I am in love with them!
Thankfully Fall is just right around the corner...

A hero in the making..

My friend Chels and I went and saw one of my best guy friends named Leek, (yes, we call each other by our last names), graduate from Citadel today ! I'm so proud of him! He's such a great person, and he has always been a truly great friend. He's such a sweet, fun, charming, sarcastic, optimistic, hilarious person, and he gets a long with everyone, kinda like me. We used to always go to Moe's together, spend hours jumping off his dock into the river, riding around in his 'clean' Jeep, we even went to the Shrimp Festival together! He swears up and down we are going to one day get married...

Did I mention he has the sweetest and best looking parents? Well yeah, he does. They are such great people! And even his cat, Chester, is awesome!
Now after Graduation, Leek is spending his summer at his North Carolina beach house.. must be nice!

I'd say they were a little packed...

The someday married couple..

Leek showing me his displayed photography.

Welcome to Moe's!

Hello Grace..

I was looking through Charleston Magazine and came across this State of Grace Fashion Shoot, I thought to myself, these are the most gorgeous gowns! I love how the gowns are so elegant, and the scenery is so simple, but beautiful. As I was looking through these pretty little photos, my friend Amy, from A Daring Little Life, texted me and said 'Don't let me forget to talk to you about picking a date for us to go and test pictures in the church'. Oh my gosh, I totally forgot about the wedding we will soon be doing! I am very excited to do this wedding, and better yet, I get to have my best friend, Amy, there with me! I am a little nervous, it will be my first wedding, but at the same time I am super pumped to go take pictures of the things I love; fashion, food, and people having a little fun! Hopefully one day I will be posting my pictures of gorgeous gowns in Charleston Magazine.

Good Ol' Chucktown..

I just got back from Charleston today. I had a good time. I went there with three friends. Stayed in this really awesome Holiday Inn that's 14 stories high, between to bridges, with an awesome few of downtown Charleston. I went shopping downtown and got a few things. (Nothing special). I ate at this really yummy "cheap" place called the Majestic Grill, they have awesome vegetable egg rolls! I met up with some friends that go to school there and partied the night away! Not really..but.. It was fun. I love downtown Chucktown. It's so nice, there's so much to do, and so many shops to venture into. I want to go back next weekend and the weekend after that. (I will post pictures later). Im wiped out! There's a lot of walking to do there.
