Sunday Funday

Over the weekend, my boyfriend, my dog, and I decided to get out and enjoy this amazing weather we've been having here in Pennsylvania. We got on the road and headed towards Ricketts Glen State Park. It's a gorgeous park with lots to do; you can hike, swim, fish, relax, bike ride, have a picnic, do whatever, it's just a really nice park. But it does get packed in the summer, so the best thing to do to avoid people is go on the long hike, I'm talking a 7.5 mile if not more, hike! This hike is beautiful, there are 22 waterfalls. There aren't many people on the hike just because it takes a lot of body and skill to complete the whole thing, one second your walking down slippery stone steps, the next your climbing up big rocks... let me just say, I busted my ass, along with the dog. It was nice, every few steps we'd stop and let Max play in the stream pools, I got my feet wet, but it was chilly! There were quite a few dogs on the hike, some were little dogs being carried by their owners that looked as if they were going to pass out... like I said, it's a long, hard, skilled hike, please don't attempt the whole thing if you are not in shape! It's a great hike, just make sure if your going on a hike longer then 2 and half hours, bring an Apple, or some Almonds to keep ya going, water is a must, too!
It always feels great to get out on the weekends!

It's time to get back in the saddle!

I am officially a proud member of Anytime Fitness!
My mum and I tried out the Seven Day Trial, and even though the membership was kinda pricey, we still had to join!
It's definitely worth it!
It has:
All the machines we need-
Showers-
Weights-
It's open 24 hours-
It only takes around ten minutes to get there-
Small gym-
Private key-
Classes; Zumba, Cardio, Spin, & Yoga-
and best of all; you can watch television on your own little TV screen, all the machinery is brand spankin' new, so it all has TVs! (I don't have cable at my house, so this could be a problem!)

I am going so I can get back in shape, "I want people to be jealous of how great my body is!" I know that sounds cocky, and a little in your face, but that's my goal I've set for myself. (And that's what I also put on the board at the gym, he he! My mum on the other hand wants her "Nice ass back"! - I love it! I also want to maintain a healthy body, and working out is definitely one of the best things you can do for your health, along with a great diet, so let the working out begin!

I actually look forward to working out!

Do you belong to a Gym?
How many times a week do you go?
What is your 'goal' when you go to the gym; are you loosing weight, targeting a certain area, or do you just like to stay in shape?

Beauty Home Remedies

We all love home remedies, am I right?
These are a few that I found to get you through these winter months.
Most of the ingredients for these remedies can be found in your own kitchen.
I'm definitely going to try the Coffee Bean and Cucumber remedy!

To hydrate dry skin use: Honey
Squeeze a dime-size dollop of honey into palms, blend it with your regular face wash, and use the mixture to give your face a deep facial. For a body wash, use a walnut-size dollop of honey.

Soothe puffy eyes: Chamomile Tea
Steep two chamomile tea bags in warm water, then place in refrigerator to cool. Squeeze excess fluid from tea bags and place over tired eyes for 5 minutes.

Quench parched locks:  Avocado
To make a nutrient-packed hair mask, mash an overripe avocado and mix in an egg yolk and 2 Tbsp. of olive oil. Massage into damp hair, wrap under towel and leave on for 30 minutes. Rinse, shampoo and condition your hair as usual.

Smooth and exfoliate:  Coffee Beans
Dip a wet washcloth into leftover coffee grounds and massage into damp skin from neck down to slough off dead skin. Concentrate on cellulite prone areas like thighs to tighten skin.

Revive tired skin: Cucumber
Puree 1 small cucumber in blender, then add 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour. Stir until mixture is thick and pasty. Apply to clean, dry face and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.

As simple as that!

What are some of your special remedies you like to use?
I would love to hear about them!

Let's indulge shall we

Why is when your trying to loose weight, unhealthy food, bad food, fattening food, somehow appears in the kitchen? I have only been eating fruit and veggies, the only bad food I have eaten is .. 1. Two handfuls of Candy Corn, 2. A bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal (at 10pm! eeek! Tv food binge time), and 3. A handful of Jalapeno Sun Chips driving home one night, didn't eat dinner, so I ate chips instead. Other then that, I have been good...
Until...
Yesterday, I went with my mum to run some errands, we went grocery shopping, she bought the guys chips, and my brother ice cream (but for some reason, I wont go after ice cream anymore). Even the chips I'm like ehh, I'll stay healthy an eat a juicy Apple instead. But on the way home, she was like "let's get some ice creams at Dairy Queen!" ... Nah mum, "yes yes yes!" she replied.. " okay fine let's do it", I said! .. so we both got medium size ice creams, hers was dipped in chocolate, mine was covered in sprinkles. I decided to take pictures to show you all just how big, beautiful, tasty, and fattening this ice cream was, until I noticed something on my hand, it was my ice cream dripping away thanks to this 90 degree weather! Let's just say, I have never licked anything that fast! (Okay did that sound perverted or ... yeah). It was really really really good! Sometimes, you just have to indulge don't you? You can't always deprive yourself..
So thanks mum for that huge Ice Cream Cone!

What's your weakness when it comes to food?

Hey Grandpa, let me get some of that Sulfur!

As you all might know, In the past few months, I started getting really bad acne.
....not good as all.
Anyways, I've been trying nearly everything, and nothing seemed to work.
"Where did this acne come from? Why can't I get rid of it.." -I always asked myself.
And I would nearly would stress about it; I had amazing skin, I have no idea what happened to it!
Well my mum just recently ordered this soap, and told me to try it out. It's called Grandpas Thylox Acne Treatment Soap with Sulfur.I have been using it for a week, and I feel like my skin is already clearing up! Even those faint scars are finally disappearing! Yes, I might have to smell like sulfur for awhile, but if that's what gets rid of this horrible acne then I will wash my face with sulfur everyday!

Vegetable Based Grandpa's Thylox Acne Treatment Soap with SulfurGrandpa's Thylox Acne Treatment Soap with Sulfur acts four ways to improve blemished skin:

Words got it, there's going to be a party- Brantley Gilbert

I think we all want that sexy body, am I right? Well, I am ready to get back in shape for summer! As I am typing this, I'm sitting outside 'finally' enjoying this amazing seventy-something degree weather, I have my pj pants rolled up, along with my long sleeve shirt, trying to get a little sun, and Vitamin D.. my dog, Maxwell, is passed out on the ground enjoying to the sun as well. It feels amazing out right now. But as I sit out here, I think about summer, and how I want that perfect, toned, summer body. I was flipping through the new SHAPE magazine earlier, and came across my favorite model, Marisa Miller, her body is amazing.. I know she works out everyday, and eats healthy.. but wow, I would love to have her body. And I can! I really hate people that look at other people that are in shape and say "I wish I had their body".. YOU CAN! You just have to push yourself to do it, that means water instead of soda, carrots instead of unhealthy snacks, fruit when you crave something sweet, salad instead of a fast-food burger. I am going to get my body back! I used to have the flatest stomach, and the most perfect butt.. now I have a pouch, and a huge butt! -Haaa, some people might like that, but me.. not so much. Anyway's I was reading her advice in Shape magazine, and I also read her how-to tips on getting that perfect summer body. I wanted to show you some of the moves. They look pretty easy, let's see if they actually work!

A. Hold a dumbbell in each hand out to the sides at shoulder level. Circle arms forward 15 times, then back 15 times. Next, bend elbows 90 degrees. Rotate forearms down so they’re parallel to the floor, then back up. Do 15 reps.

B. Finally, bring elbows together in front of you, then back out. Do 15 reps.

A. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and hold a dumbbell in each hand in front of your chest, elbows bent and palms facing each other.

B. Pull your abs in and lean forward and to the right, using the same motion as you would when doing a regular crunch. Repeat to the other side to complete 1 rep. Do 15 to 25 reps.

A. Get in plank position on forearms on the round side of a Bosu.

B. Hold for 30 seconds, then turn to the left and balance on right forearm, feet staggered and left arm up. Hold for 30 seconds, return to center, and switch sides to complete series. Repeat entire series once.

A. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, then squat and put hands on floor in front of feet. Hop feet back, then forward again.

B. Jump up, catching air and raising hands overhead. Continue for 1 minute. (Add a push-up while you're in plank pose for more of a challenge.)
