Let's fall for porches

I am loving all these fall porches I'm seeing!
People here. (in Pennsylvania), really get into it, which I love.
It makes this time of year even better!
A lot of people around here are using corn stalks, pumpkins of all kinds, hay, leaves, mums of every color... it's all so perfect.
As of right now, I went with a scary porch, spider webbing, rats crawling up the columns, skeletons and ghouls hanging..
But for Thanksgiving, I will make it more fall-ish.
(The back porch on the other hand has pumpkins, mums, and gourds, so I do get to see a little fall).
I really like these porches, one of these years, I'm going to have the perfect fall porch!
Just you wait and see!

Is your porch decorated for fall? Or is it more like mine, where it's scary?

Pretty find of the day..

See these lovelies below?
I bought seven of them for only $1
Oh how I love a good deal...

Glass drawer pulls go with anything and everything.
I love how you can make a single piece of furniture romantic just by adding a glass drawer pull. Or you can add them to an old rustic kitchen for an instant pick me up. You can even leave them on a tray as a display, maybe with some pretty flowers.
I'm going to add my drawer pulls to a built in cabinet in my bathroom, I cannot wait to see how they are going to look!
How do you feel about glass drawer pulls?

A Southern Style Christmas

The one thing I love about living in the south, is that I can decorate with coastal stuff like; shells, palms, pine needles, blues and greens!
I loooove the combination of it all!
It makes me feel like I'm spending Christmas at a Beach Cottage.
Of course my decorating doesn't come close to these beautiful pictures below, but one day, I will decorate like that, and I will be living closer to the beach! (But I will also have a cute little cabin tucked away in the woods). Hey, I can dream, can't I?

Where would you love to spend Christmas?
A cute cabin in the mountains?
 A cottage at the beach?
A luxury apartment over looking the city?
Maybe even in a camper at Yosemite?

These beautiful pictures came from here.

DIY: Vases & Christmas Ornaments

Hello my beautiful bloggers-
I have this vase, which holds Lavendar in the bottom of the vase, & a candle in the center.
It was nice; ten years ago...
But now it's time to change that vase up!
So I found some silver vintage Christmas ornaments,
along with these other silver sparkly ornaments.
I set those in the bottom of the vase.
Then I took the the purple candle out, (which smelt like spring),
and added a simple white one,
which smells like Peppermint. --- A little more appropriate for the holidays!
And Ta Da!
It looks so much better with vintage bulbs!

Sooo what do you have planned on this Tuesday?
Me; Well I will be getting down Christmas stuff from the attic! - It's a bit chilly out, so why not start a fire, play some Christmas music, and get to decorating!
I hope you all have a great Tuesday!

Before & afters

As most of you know, my boyfriend and I have been looking for a house.
(It's hard work trying to find something we both like). I don't consider myself picky when it comes to the inside of a house, cause everything can be redone. But for the outside.. not so much. The outside is very difficult and quite costly to redo. I have to find a house I like on the outside, at least somewhat. I do not want to pull up to my house and say 'ew' but walk inside and say 'ohh-ahh'. -It's just not happening. I have liked three out of the fifteen we've looked at. But all the ones I like are either too expensive (and wont go down on the price), or they have major problems. All I want is something small; two-three bedrooms, one and a half bathrooms, a living room possibly big enough for a table so we wont have to have a dining room, and a small kitchen, and a laundry room that is not in a creepy ass basement would be really really really nice! I don't care if the walls are hideous panels, or brick, I don't care if there is carpet, I don't even care if the walls are crazy colors, you know why? Cause all that is going to be gone in a matters of weeks! I would love to find a Cape Cod style home, I love that cottage look. I don't mind brick, nor vinyl siding as long as it's done right, but then again I looooove wood homes, and I'm hoping that's what we will end up getting! The right house is out there .. somewhere!
Anyways, I was looking through some old blogs and came across a post I liked. It's before and afters, this is perfect; this is what I want to show my boyfriend. That the inside of a hideous house, can be turned into the inside of a beautiful house! I got these pictures from Young House Love.
Go check out their other before and afters and their new home as well!

What do you think?
This house definitely belong in a magazine!
I hope whatever house we find, turns out looking as great at this one!

It's time to bring out the little creatures...

That's right; it's time for all the spooky little creatures to come out and do their thing!
Last year, my mum and I got some pretty fun Halloween clearance stuff. You can never have too much Halloween decorations! So when we started unpacking everything today, there was a lot of 'new' fun stuff that we forgot about. -It's kinda like Christmas or something..
There is so much to do, so many new spooky little creatures to find homes for, and so little time!
Did I mention we are watching The Nightmare Before Christmas, that's what gets us in the mood for decorating!
Sorry for the messy pictures, I just wanted to show you how much of a mess the house is! Eeeeek-
Well I must get back, I will post pictures of everything once all the creatures are in their place.
I hope everyone else in enjoying their Monday!

Hello Laundy Room

It's time to finish the laundry room!
My parents laundry room has never been finished. (My father likes to move from project-to-project). But it's time for him to finish this project!  It's such a small room, it can easily be finished within a few days. I am just so tired of walking in the their, and seeing the mud on the walls, the ceiling that needs to be redone, and the doors that need to be painted. I can't wait to show you all the finish project. I do have to give my father credit, he is a perfectionist, (that's why he takes so long to actually finish a project), but his work is unbelievable, with the help of my ideas of course!

This is our before laundry room....

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

And here
are some dreamy laundry rooms!

From Carolina down to Georgia, smell the the Jasmine and Magnolia..

Summer where are you.. I miss you deeply.
Love,
Kristen..
On a lighter note, here are some fabulous rooms that make me feel as if summer is already here..
the sun is outside shinnin', there are frozen Margarita's next to the pool side, friends are lying out on their colorful towels.. ah, I can see it now! I am counting down the days to heat.
Are you looking forward to warmer weather?
