Gettin' a little mud on the tires

It's about time we get a little mud on the tires.
The boyfriend and I went trail riding with two other couples, my boyfriend drives a nice Ford F150 (which is behind us in the picture), the other guy drives a nice Chevy Silverado, then you have the redneck kid in his Overalls, in his older crappy looking, off-road Toyota which is what your supposed to have when you go on trails, and mudding, in case you mess it up, it's not a big deal.
When we got on the trail, we were only supposed to stay on the trail, my boyfriend kept saying, I haven't done anything with this truck, I don't want to screw it up, . . . . and then he saw the redneck go up a hill, and through the mud pit, and there my boyfriend went, following the redneck, and then the other guy with the Chevy went and drove over the hill and through the mud pit..
Guys will always be guys, and they will always be competitive with each other.
They all did it, and it was a lot of fun.
And then the redneck got stuck in his Toyota out near a lake, and my boyfriend had to pull him out, and that pretty much ended the night.
It was a lot of fun acting young, and reckless, just having a good ol' time in the mountains of Pennsylvania!

In the garden..

There's something lurking on my Dill, in my garden..
It's fifteen little Swallowtail Caterpillars!
Over the past week and a half, I have been watching these little guys, they started down low in the Dill, and started moving their way to the top.
They were so little at first, then as the days went by, they started getting chubby, just eating away at the tasty Dill.
This morning, I walked out to visit the garden and noticed that all but three have left.. I wonder where they went. I hope birds didn't get them. There are three left, two are already in cocoons, and one is in the process.
It is such a gift to see these little Caterpillars, I'm so blessed they ended up in my garden!
It would be so nice, if I could see them turn into beautiful Butterflies!
But until then, I will just have to keep an eye on them, and a camera close by!

Houses are a pain in the you know what...

Let's just say, looking for the perfect house is hard.
There is no other words for it. It's tons of work, it takes up time to go look inside each one, some are really scary, but then you have some nice ones (rarely).
I am moving to Good ol' Pennsylvania with my boyfriend sometime during the holidays/ possibly after. (I am living with my parents still, and he just got out of the military last year, and is living with his parents). Of course we would want to live with our parents forever ... but we can't do that. It's time to start living on our own. We would rather not rent, why rent when you can buy? I don't want an expensive house, just something sort of small, with at least two/three bedrooms, and one and a half bathrooms would be nice. The one thing I do not like about Pennsylvania, is how every house has a basement! Whyyyyyy? Most of them get flooded, well at least where he lives.. and they are scary. Hasn't anyone watched Horror Movies! Okay okay, maybe they aren't all scary. But the ones I've been in/seen, are!
Well anyways, here are a few houses we've seen. It's hard for me to actually go inside of them, since I'm not living there yet. So my boyfriend must call up the Realtor, schedule appointments, and waste precious time going to see all of them. I thought the Gray Stucco House was definitely it! It has three bedrooms, one bath, two car garage.. wood floors, granite counters, white trim. It was perfect! Until his father went over there and noticed some very major things wrong with it. That was a shot to the heart, Corey and I were so excited, thiking this was the one, when it clearly wasn't. It's a lot of stress looking at houses, it's a huge huge huge investment! We are both stressed out, so I told him we just need a few days away from looking at houses. But tomorrow he is going to look at the Cottage (last house on this post). When I was visiting up there, this was acutally the first house we went to go look at, (but we only looked at the outside). When we pulled up, it had no drive way, a little yard, a few problems with the roof (that can be fixed). But it just seemed a little too small for us. I actually ended up liking it, it's on a lake, super nice area, great for running or bike riding! Well, since we haven't found anything, he decided to call the Realtor up, and go take a look inside. Who knows, maybe all this time, it was waiting for us.

This is the view from the window in the living room.
It needs a little work, but I would have it in Country Living Magazine in no time!

And the thunder rolls- Garth Brooks

It hasn't rained in awhile here in South Carolina.
We got a storm last Saturday night, I was out on at a friends beach house with a few friends, we sat on the back porch and watched the storm ease across the ocean; lighting, thundering.. it was amazing; if only I had my camera! Well, yesterday, I was on the way to Bluffton to do a little shopping with my mum, when we went across Broad River bridge, one side was nothing but white tips (meaning there were huge waves), and darks skies, the other side had a rainbow believe it or not. I took some pictures, but you can barely see it, it's not really worth posting on here. But it was still beautiful. I love storms, the rain, lighting, thunder, wind.. it just thrills me to know end! I used to want to go chase down Tornadoes, and take pictures of Hurricanes, I know I sound a little crazy, but I love that adrenaline.
But for now, I will just stick to taking pictures of little thunder storms. I didn't have my Nikon, so I had to shoot these with my Sony Cybershot. I was in a moving vehical, soooo that's why they look kinda bad. I just wanted to show you all how dark the sky was!

Say hello to Blu'

Meet Blu', she's a Gray Cochin Chick. We got her last Thursday. She is the sweetest, calmest, cutest hen! She has feathers all over her feet, which i'm just in love with. She doesn't even look like a hen, she looks more like a little Hawk baby or something. Unfortunately my other hen, Babi, doesn't approve of her; when we put Blu' in the cage with our other hen, Babi started pecking her! So we had to stick Blu' on the other side of the cage, and put boards up. Blu' however can get under the boards and go lay in the middle of the cage where the sand is, but whenever Babi gets in there, Blu' can run to her side and not get pecked. I'm hoping one of these day's they will get along.
Isn't she just adorable!

Hello Sage...

Meet Sage, the baby Canadian Goose.. also known as 'Thumper'.
Sage came to us yesterday; while I was at Graduation, my brother and his friend were fishing in a pond. I guess when they were getting ready to leave, they saw the baby Goose, and it was having problems walking. So my brother, being the caring person he is, ended up getting the baby and bringing it home for us to take care of it. We ended up taking it to the vet, and it did have a fractured foot. So we are going to keep it for a little while.
***Update: Turns out baby Goose was starting to get a little too active for us; lot's of walking, pooping, eating.. so we released him back to the pond, and as soon as we got out of the car, his daddy came up on the the bank, along with his mommy and three siblings, and imediantly bonded! Yayyyy! It worked, they took little Sage without any problems. We have been checking up on him since the release, and he is still with his family!

This one's for you Lou

This one is for Loulu,
he would have wanted us to take this Monday off to celebrate his going away.
So we did..
We drove out to a private beach far away, where not many people go.
We set up the umbrella, layed out the chairs, turned on some beats, put on some SPF, grabbed a wine cooler, and settled down in the sun for some nice relaxation time.
My dad went on a long beach walk with Max.
Nick threw sand, and mud at me. (Of course I threw it back, there we were acting like kids again..).
Mum actually layed out, and got a little sun.
A boat pulled up close by, they were two drunk older people, listening to some oldddddies, and dancing, having a good ol' time. Another boat pulled up later on around the bend, they were really quiet.
After dad got back from his, what seemed to be three hour walk, mum and I ventured off..
It was nice walking the long, quiet beach, just being in nature is a great place to be.
As we were walking back around the bend, then sun was going down, the Ghost Crabs were coming out, the waves were slightly crashing.. and there was Nick running with Max.
We all watched the sun go down, so pretty.. just what we all needed after this weekend.
I miss you Loulu..
