I'll be eating tasty food in ...

Charleston, South Carolina, at the Bluerose Cafe'.
It's a little Irish Cafe'.
I've said this once, but I'm going to say it again, if you are ever in Charleston, you have to try this place out! It's called Bluerose Cafe', they serve homemade specials every night on the chalkboard. Their menu alone, is just amazing! I always have a craving for their Flounder, whether it's pan-seared, grilled, or baked, it is divine! My mum loves to order the Veggie Burger, with Homemade Fries that will knock your socks off!
This place has the best service, out of any restaurant I have ever been to!
Every time I took a few sips of water, the waiter would be coming around the corner filling up my glass, he asked how we were doing three times, he brought are food out in a matter of minutes, I mean this guy was awesome!
I think it's funny how, when we used to pass this place up, it would be so packed, you couldn't even getting a parking spot. But when my mum and I go, we seem to be the only people eating, there might be two-three other tables, but in the end we are the only ones! It's not weird at all, as a matter of fact, I love it! You can actually hear yourself think, or hear the other person talking.
It's such a great place to go with friends, or on a date, hey or even with your mum! If you don't like sitting inside, they have a nice front porch with huge umbrellas, and pretty flowers surrounding the tables. It's such a great place to go, it's a little treasure in Charleston!

I have always wanted to try their desert, but I always end up with a full tummy!
One of these days, I will just go in their to order a tasty treat! If their dinners are amazing, then I'm sure the desserts are, too!

New Years Eve in the South

My town just celebrated it's 300th Birthday!
If there is one good thing about this town it's celebrating with music, food, beer, wine, festivites, fireworks, and the best of all, great people! I met a few friends down there, listened to some music, and watched the fireworks. As soon as the sun set, the fireworks went off, and they were beautiful! They kept going on and on, which gave my the perfect oppurtunity to snap away! (I did have to help out a new photographer to my left, who just bought a Nikon earlier in the day, and did not know anything about her camera). There was also a professional photographer for our Newspaper on my right, tripod -n- all. When I lifted myself off the ground- after taking pictures, I had been flipping through my camera, and I guess she had been snooping at my work behind my back. She told me I had taken much better pictures then her, (but yet, she had a tripod and a remote timer for her camera, I was thinking in my head, how could I have taken much better pictures then her?)... "Thank you", I replied. She asked me to upload some of my work onto her site, with my name on the pictures, "ugh yeah, of course I will"! So that kinda made my night! I'm hoping this year, I will get to sell my work, or maybe work for a local paper, or magazine, fingers crossed!
It was a great night downtown, I was so happy to see my friends, and most of all see the beautiful fireworks!
Happy 300th Beaufort!

Water Festival has arrived

Beaufort, South Carolina holds a Water festival ever year in downtown Beaufort, on the waterfront, of course.
This marks the 56th year, it's from the 15th-24th.
Friday was the first night, the first night is always free, the MCAS Band comes to play, and Fireworks are always a must for an opening ceremony! (Even if it was sprinkling outside). I went with my friend Meghan, when we first got there, we walked over to the Beer Tickets, and started the night off with a nice cold one! I saw a South Carolin Lottery Ticket Stand, and said we should go do a few scratch offs! I won a dollar, Meghan won fifty! She got her picture taken, I jumped in! After that, we walked to the water front, and the fireworks began. After we watched fireworks, we ran into a few friends, said our hello's then it was off to Panini's to eat! Thankfully Paninin's had a huge tent outside on the deck, so no one got rained on. We ordered ourselves Frozen Sangria's, and Cesar Salads. While we were eating, a few friends came up, and sat down. We ordered some beers, watched the band play, met some new people, danced, did a little bar hopping.. then it was time to go home! (Let's just say, it wasn't that easy, when your friends have been drinking, and losing keys, not so fun.. ) but all-in-all, it was a great night!

It was a great night for Water Festival!

Let's take a tour of Downtown!

As I was driving back home I saw the most gorgeous rainbow, so I decided to stop and take a picture then I thought some of you bloggers might want to see some of Downtown Beaufort so with the help of my brother, Nick, and his girl friend Kate, we decided to take some pictures for you all to see.
Downtown Beaufort is one of my favorite places to go. I love just sitting down by the waterfront, watching people walk by, smelling the salty air, watching the sail boats float past the lovely sunset- it's just relaxing. Downtown has a few shops, but it's mostly known for it's delicious southern food! Nippy's is the only place I haven't been to downtown, but their Flounder Basket sounds pretty tasty, along with a live band that plays, it sounds like it could be my next favorite restaurant. If you do ever come to Beaufort, you must stop by Common Ground Coffee Shop, and order a Cookies & Cream Frapp. it is delicious. If you want to learn about Beaufort or if your interested in the past wars, you can go to the Downtown Museum, it's pretty neat looking at all the old clothes and stuff. I also took a picture of one of my favorite houses, it's the pink house, with the cutest guest house I think I have ever seen! It's decorated with American Flags, along with their fence, and they have a Volkswagen Beetle! I felt like I was taking pictures mostly of the couple I was with, which I had no problem doing, they are just so cute! And after all the walking we decided to do a few handstands! It didn't really work out for me, so instead we jumped as high as we could- then got kinda worn out and decided to go home and eat some shrimp! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
