Birth Control help..

Hey ladies, this post is for you. I just started a new birth control called Sronyx, have you ever heard of it? Do you take it, or have you ever?
I was reading the reviews, and man they are kinda scary.. I used to use Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo, then switched to Desogen. (Desogen was probably the WORST birth control out there, it made me crazy, and I wanted to eat kids!). The Ortho was good, and I wanted to switch to that, but something came up, so I stopped taking birth control all together. Well now i'm getting back on it- and this is the one they prescribed me. Please let me know if you use it, and tell me your side affects. Or better yet, what kind of birth control pill do you use? I need your help! Thanks!

(I have been on this pill for two days, and so far, i'm fine.. I just want to make sure it's not going to make me crazy!)

I've never heard of that but I am on the ring and I LOVE it. I am bad about remembering to take the pills in a timely fashion so it is perfect for me and I havent had any side affects.

I'm so glad you wrote this post, because I need to start my new pack on Sunday and we're leaving town this afternoon - so it reminded me to refill my prescription for pick up in an hour. PHEW! THANK YOU!

Anyway, I have never heard of the kind you are on. I'm taking Yaz (well Gianvi, the generic) and it's okay. I'm really prone to infections though (yeast & BV, sorry for tmi) so I'm not sure if it's working right for me or not. I really hate BC with all my heart. I've had such bad experiences with it effecting my moods that it just hasn't been worth it for me throughout most of my adult years. I mean, I'm thankful for it and all but it really sucks to manipulate your body and get depressed, gain weight, etc.

How long have you been on it? I've been on mine for 7 months now. I'd give it a go if you're thinking about switching. OR, may I suggest an IUD?

I've always gone with low-dose hormones and generic brand. Try Microgestin or right now I am on Zovia. I've taken Yaz before, and ones that allegedly treat acne, etc. but I didn't have luck with those. My suggestion is to find one with low-dose hormones, they have mild side effects, but nothing I can't handle (bloating, some grumpiness, but nothing a handful of m&m's can't fix!)

Oh man... I hated the way birth control messed with my mood/personality. That's why I got an IUD. It has just a little bit of progesterone so I don't deal with mood swings.

Also, the nice thing is that I don't have to stress about remembering a pill anymore!

The IUD lasts for 5-7 years depending on the type you get. It winds up saving you money in the long run and can be removed at any time.

As you can tell I'm a huge fan and I definitely recommend it.

Hope you have better luck this time around!

I wish I could help, but I'm not actually on any birth control. Good luck in finding a good fit!
