Grab it, save it, paint it, love it!

My dad found this buoy while fishing awhile back, and I thought it would look a lot better if it were painted, like some of the other buoys we have. So I decided to grab the Acrylic paint, a few paint brushes, a sanding pad, and head outside to paint! I wanted it to match the other buoys we have so I went with the colors: Apricot, Harvest Orange, and Banana. It turned out to be really easy, you should try it! If you want to try it all you have to do is- find yourself a buoy, the older the better! If you live anywhere near a marsh, just look along it and you'll see some that have floated off crab-pots. (Don't go take anyone's buoy though!) if you can't find any in the river, just go to your local Marina Store or anywhere that sells stuff for boats. They are usually under $15.
Then your going to need some acrylic paint, which can be found at Wal-Mart, Michaels, or any art supply place.
Just a plain paint brush will do.
And a sanding pad.
Start off by sanding the buoy-
Then paint your stripes however you want. (I did mine kinda wide).
After you are done painting the 'colored' stripes, go ahead and paint your white stripes.
After it dries, go ahead and sand it one more time, the sanding gives it a used looked, if you don't want to sand it, you don't have to. I just like mine to look like they have been used.
And Ta Da!
