Hey the sun is always bright in FL!

So Florida was amazing! It felt soo good to just get away! We started our trip in Jax, took US 1 then ended up on A1A. We went to St. Augustine for a few hours and laid on the beach, ate at the Sunset Grille, then we tried finding a hotel, which we couldn't do cause they were all booked! So we ended up going to Daytona, and we found a hotel on the beach for only $70! We had a balcony view of the pool and beach- it was really nice! The next day we walked Daytona Beach, ate at Bubba Gumps, then we were off. We ended up off of A1A some how, and we were left at in inlet, which had a light house .. it turns out we were at the Ponce De Leon Lighthouse! So we went up it for $5 and saw all the gorgeous views you could wish for! Then we ended back tched the surfers, and just enjoyed the day. Then we couldn't find a hotel.. so we were just like let's go back to Jax. We stayed at a typical hotel, which had yummy waffles! The next day we went to Talbot's Island, which is near Jacksonville.. it was the most beautiful beach I have ever been to! The water was clear, there were absolutely no people, it was just gorgeous and it only cost $5 to get in! After being at the beach we went in search of food, we came across one of the best places I have ever eaten at called The Sandollar Bar and Grill! I got the crabby grouper, and Matt got the Mahi Mahi. Our plates were only $8 & $9! With it, you got your piece of delicious fish, two hush puppies, a side of your choice (I got green beans) and you got cold slaw! I was in love.. after that we went back home to a storm.. :( I had a lot of fun though, I love getting out, and just exploring! I hope everyone had a great weekend!

It's here!

I'm loving this day known as Friday. . .

I am so happy it's the weekend! I'm ready to just go travel A1A tomorrow, listening to the new Dierks Bentley cd, not knowing which beach to stop at to get my feet wet! I am dying to try out new restaurants as well, and take lot's of pictures! I'm going down there with Matt, he's going to try to surf at this place off of A1A called Fort George Inlet- and I'll be there soaking up the sun and getting my pictures on! I just love getting in a car and going.. having only an overnight bag, but staying those few extra nights, it's just an adventure! What do you guys have planned for your weekend?
Nothing like starting your night out with Rita's! (My brother and his girl friend, Kate).

It's something girls love..

I love antique jewelry, and that's what I pretty much look for while I'm at Flea Markets and Yard Sales. All these pieces came from a Flea Market in Florida called "Renningers". They were all really cheap, which I love! I got three other necklaces, but they are more costume jewelry. If you do love antique jewelry then you might like what this blogger has to say-A Trice of Life.

It's something your Thankful for..

Nothing like fresh picked blueberries right outside your door! Yes, I have four blueberry bushes outside; near the garden, and right now, they are in season.. and I'm loving them! Along with my Frosted Flakes I eat in the morning :) Blueberries are one of my favorite fruits to eat! They are perfect for cereal, pancakes, blueberry muffins, in a salad, a yummy smoothie, or just to hand pick and eat right there as a snack!

To all the Father's out there..

Happy Father's Day!
I have to say that my dad is one of the best dad's out there! He's always been there for me, my brother and my mum. He works very hard everyday to support all of us.. (and I feel bad for that cause I should be on my own). But he doesn't care, he loves me, and he has always told me to just stay home and save money. He knows how to do everything, and when I say everything, I mean everything! He knows everything from building a house, to being the master chef in the kitchen.. lol he might not know how to do laundry very well, but he wont let you know that! He has taught me so much in the past twenty years, yes some of those years were hard and still are, but in the end, he was only hard on me because he loves me and he wants me to know how to do everything on my own for when he's not around. He trully is a nice man, he loves to talk to everyone, he loves to fish, he is a man that loves animals and would never hurt them (He better not!), he is one hell of a cook! He's funny, ocasionally when I'm not finding him annoying.. lol but I really love my dad, even if he is a butt-head sometimes!
For Father's Day we went out on the river, my Dad took my Mum, our dog Max, and I to this private beach (there were only three other boats, but they were down the beach) while him and my brother went fishing. My mom and I tanned, and swam while Max chased all the birds and went kept jumping in the water, it was just really relaxing. When my Dad and Brother got back we all went swimming, it was soo much fun! Then we went on a walk through the dunes.. and guess what we found! Beautiful speckeld bird egss, and on another dune, there were two baby birds! It was trully amazing to be out in nature like that. I just love the south, it honestly doesn't get any better then being out on the river for Father's Day!

That's what it needed!

My mom and I went to a few Yard Sales today.. and at first we were like "ughhh.. why isn't there any good ones?!" , and we were about to just quit. But we both agreed on going to one more, so we did and it turned out to be one of the best one's this year! This woman had the coolest things, she loves Dolls, so she had some dolls and really fun Japanese stuff! She also had amazing furniture! Which is what we were interested in- her furniture was just beautiful! We got two desks, a long side table, a Gothic table/hutch piece, and a really artsy wood chair, ohh yeah and the Urban Outfitter looking lamp that's on the desk with the phone, she just gave that to us! All for around $1,000! I mean.. honestly where are you going to find such great furniture for that price? It really made a difference in our house, take a look-
