Give Thanks.. :)

I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving!

My mom and I did all the cooking this year, while the guys sat around the house (being guys).
Great News..Just to let everyone know, I even made baked macaroni for the first time and it actually turned out to be goood! We also had: Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Fresh steamed Green Beans, Corn on the Cob, Kale, Stuffing, & Fresh Cranberry Sauce. It was all soo tasty! Then after all that we had Real Pumpkin Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream, that my mother made! It was sooooo good, and I really dislike Pumpkin Pie, so that must mean she did a really good job!

By the way: I am Very Thankful for my loving family,(my adorable boyfriend), and all my amazing pets. ♥

Happy Birthday you twenty something you!

Happy 20th Birthday
-to myself !
I am really looking forward to now being in my "20's".
(And hey, I still have a year to be naughty, and 'sneak' my alcoholic beverages!)

Tasty, 20 minute pasta!

Okay okay okay.. I'll share my pasta recipe with you!
What your going to need and how your going to need it:
A few cloves of garlic, sliced.
Half an onion, diced.
Whole can of black olives, sliced.
A few mushrooms, sliced or you can use canned, but I prefer fresh.
One zucchini, sliced
You can use either fresh tomatoes, or canned tomato sauce.. what ever you prefer.
Italian seasoning.
Lot's of basil.
Throw in some onion powder and garlic powder.
And of course your going to need to noodles.
And parmesan cheese!
To start things off, add water in to a pot and bring to boil. Then throw in your noodles with a tad bit of salt. But why your water in boiling, get a saucepan and throw in some of the black olive juice, and let the garlic and onions simmer first. Then throw in your black olives, msuchrooms, zucchini, and tomatoes. If your using tomato sauce, add that in at the end. Then add all of your seasonings. By the time your noodles are done, your sauce should be too! Put your noodles in a colander/strainer and add some olive oil (so they wont stick). Grab how ever much noodles you want, add your sauce, and parmesan cheese, and ta da! Your in for a yummy treat. Your meal should take no longer then 20 mins. to make! And the more veggies you add, the better!

Oh Asheville

Asheville is everything I needed.
-I went up to Asheville with my boyfriend, Jason to go spend some time with his sister, Becky and her hubby, Brad. They were a lot of fun! (They own most, if not all, the jumpers you see in mall's). The first night we took it easy and just played Air Hockey and Pool and ate some taco's (mine was a veggie taco, of course). And watched some tv and just caught up with them (Jason's mother and her friend were also there visiting).
-The next day
Jason and I went on the Blue Ridge Parkway, stopped at the overlooks, took some pictures, went on an hour long hike that took us no where, had to turn around on the south side of the Blue Ridge Parkway cause of fallen rocks, so we went the north way, got some Cajun peanuts, stopped at a river and ate our nuts. Then finished up on the Parkway. After that we went to Cracker Barrel for dinner with his sister. Rented a movie. And it was off to bed.
-They next day we went to church (which I was fearing, but turned out to be fun, lots of singing was involved). After church we went to this amazing Chinese buffet called Asiana's. After lunch we went and got a big blow up ball that fits two people, we blew that up, and rolled it down a hill. (It was pretty exciting)! Later on that night we ordered Little Cesar's Pizza! Yummy. And since everyone was tired we all just watched TV.
-The next day we had to leave Asheville.. it was a sad feeling. But we headed for some waterfalls in Hendersonville. We saw three beautiful waterfalls , it took three to four hours to see them all but it was worth it! On the way to the top of our last waterfall this nice guy let us take pictures on his horse. After that we headed back home.. with the mountains disappearing as we left.. I always get a sad feeling when I leave the mountains, but hopefully i'll be going back in the Spring!

Did you say.. teacup piglets ??

Aren't they just the cutest little things?
Tiny pigs the size of teacups, as this photo demonstrates, are the latest pet craze sweeping Great Britain. These little piggies are named Simon (left) and Cheryl.
At birth, micro pigs are smaller than kittens, weighing about 9 oz.

Even when fully grown, micro pigs are much smaller than standard farm pigs. By age 2 they reach 12 to 16 inches and a weight of about 65 pounds.

The old fisherman.. who spoke.

So my father was in the local newspaper about SCE&G spraying herbicides underneath power lines and the herbicides leaching into waterways and killing all the aquatic plants and all other living things.
This is what he had to say-"We're big into the environment," said James Boyd, a Grays Hill resident who noticed the spraying crew and its 500-gallon tanker truck Wednesday and immediately began calling local officials and researching on the Internet.
"If we're not working or doing a honey-do list, we're fishing," Boyd said. "We're at the river. Go look where they sprayed it and see if you see anything growing. I want it stopped."
Even though I doubt they are ever going to stop the spraying, I'm still proud of my father for trying to help the environment.
