Beaufort Boat Parade

I just wanted to let you all know this weekend has been crazy for me.
Friday night I went to the Night on the Town. It was a lot of fun! People come from all over to eat tasty southern food, shop in all the local stores, watch all the fun entertainment going around everywhere, and so much more! All the stores stayed open until 8pm. they offered free drinks, cheese, holiday cookies, etc. My friend Meg and I went to almost every place looking for some free booze and cheese! - We actually found a store that had almost twenty different cheeses! Turns out the guy owns a cheese company. -Jackpot!
The next night was the Boat Parade, we were on a three deck offshore boat. It was completely covered with lights. We were all Pirates! There were 14 people on the boat dressed up, it was so much fun! I have no idea where they all found their great Pirate outfits though, luckily my mum found the perfect ruffled shirt for me in a matter of minutes! -Thanks mum, your a life saver!
Anyways, all the Pirates met at the marina, got all situated, floated under the Mcteer Bridge for thirty minutes while all their other boats started coming. It's unbelievable what you can do with a boat! When all the boats got lined up, it was time to start the show, we all (the boats) headed for downtown. People were gathered everywhere! We screamed 'Merry Christmas', and 'Arrrrrr' out loud! My friend Meg kept saying funny lines, one being 'walk the plank'! It was so much fun, even if we did lose some lights on the boat the first round! Good thing we went around four times! When we were done showing off the boat, it was back to the marina, they had a huge party going on for all the boats. We were all waiting patiently to see who won, we came in Second Place! And we were in the local paper! What could be better then that! After we found out we got second place, we went downtown in our Pirate outfits, we went to a local Restaurant called Q on Bay, it's a barbecue place. Meg ordered Wings, and I ordered a salad, we both shared a tasty basket of fries, mm mm it was good! Everyone kept asking about our outfits, let's just say we got lots of attention, but it was well worth it! It's not like you can dress like a Pirate everyday!
Today is the Christmas Parade, unfortunately I need to get some Christmas shopping done so I wont be able to go. (It's usually the same thing every year any who)..

This is our boat! You can read more about it here!
