Last night I went to go see Marley & Me , it was a really good movie. It's definitely a movie for dog owner's and dog lover's, like myself. The movie reminds me of my last dog, Jake. He was a rescued Border Collie. When we pulled up to the farm there were puppies everywhere in this mobile home! And then there were three older dogs outside in three kennels. I could choose between the the three. There were two boys and one girl. One of the boy dogs and the girl were skiddish . So we took Jake who was then named "George". Shiveeers.. I remember Jake like it was yesterday. . . He had pizza ears (raw and bloody looking), he was stingy looking with gnats flying all around him, and he smelt really bad! But he was cute.. in an odd way. While we were on the road, we stopped at a gas station. Jake sat right next to me, stared at me, and then started licking me! I was so disgusted! When we came home, the first thing we did was let him out of the van to explore his new home. Right when we were getting ready to give him a bath, he just took off running down the street! Almost every other time he got off the leash or out of his cage, he would run down the street! There was this one time, he got away, and my mom and I got into the van and went after him. . he usually just jumped in the van but not this time! He just kept running and looking back like it was a game or something. When we couldn't catch him my mom just gave up, so we went home. He never came home that night, nor that next night. I started worrying.. a few more days went by, then one day my dad came home and told me to go outside, so I did.. It was Jake!! I was so happy, even though he ran away, nothing was more amazing then having in my arms again. Then we got chickens, and two died. We didn't know it was him until our third chicken, Sophia, was killed.. I had him on a line which he could run up and down on. Somehow he got off of it and went after her. That was the saddest day, I had her dying slowly in my arms while we were rushing to the Animal Hospital, and I had to make a decision on whether or not to keep Jake. when I got home, I thought it would be best to find him a new home. We took him to the animal shelter, My mom, my brother, and I crying our eyes out.. We went there almost every other day to see if he got adopted. My mom even wanted to re-adopt him.. so we went back, and he wasn't there! It turns out some lady came in and got him, she rescued all sorts of collies and brought them to a farm. Hopefully he found himself a great home, somewhere where he could run freely and be a happy dog. I miss him more then anything, he was a great dog! We shared sad times and happy times together. I love you Jakie Poo!

Merry Christmas to all !!
Merry Christmassss !!
I was up wrapping gifts until four in the morning! I will never EVER do that again! All presents get done a week before Christmas! So I woke up around 12 in the afternoon.. instead of 8 in the morning like I used to. All the family was pretty much fatigued from the night before. But they did make breakfast for my friend Alex (who stayed the night) my brother, and I. After Alex left everyone slowly made their way in to the living room. My brother, Nick, was the first one to open up gifts. Then me, then my mom, and then.. my hungover father. Hah. I have to say.. for some reason this Christmas wasn't as great.. I haven't recieved my "big gift" yet. . but I did get some cute small gifts. From Santa I got, two puzzles, a Roll-O-Puzzle (to keep my puzzles in)
the Dvd Mamma Mia, Lemony Snicket's Dvd, the book "It's A Zoo Out There", A Lucky book, an Animal Portrait book, Canvas bags from Sundance (but im returning those), a Barnes and Noble canvas bag, Celulite cream (Yay!!), a bug catcher, marshmellow forks for bon-fires, penguin cooking bowls, two picture frames, .. and other small stuff. From Jake I got an Aeropostale teddy bear, Chocolater Tree chocolates, a Nike longsleeve running shirt, a flameless candle, and a card with a "sorry I couldn't be there".. message. From Aunt Renee' I got a Rachel Hale 101 Salivations book, and a $50.oo gift card to American Eagle! (Thank you soo much Aunt Renee'!!) It was the night before Christmas..
Update: Well I had a few friends over tonight to decorate a gingerbread house . It was really fun actually! I have never decorated one, but I think it turned out quite cute. Then later in the night, my friend Josh V. brought over another gingerbread house , except that one kind of got attacked by my typsy brother. (He first chewed off the chimney, then the side of the roof and so on..).For the 'small' party, we had all kinds of food, like truffles, small cakes, swiss cheese with crackers, chips & few things of different dips.. and some other stuff. I had a really fun night! Well.. until everyone left ..then I had to wrap gifts all night. (That was not fun). Here's a few pictures.

It's CHRISTMAS EVE !!
And im awake at 2:30 in the morning writing this .. I can't wait for Christmas!! Im super happy, I think this year will be fun.. even though I wish I could go back to being 10 and waiting for Santa to come, not being able to sleep. This year.. you never know what Santa is going to bring. I pretty much have everything I want and that's a wonderful family and amazing pet's. :D All I really want is to save the money and go on a VACATION to the Florida Keys.. preferably Marathon Key. But that will have to wait till next year.
Anyways, I need to get some sleep! I have a lot of wrapping to still do!!
Goodnight to all and Happy Christmas Eve!!

Let's wrap some gifts!
I just wanted to show everyone one of my boyfriend's presents that I packaged and wrapped up. I got him a few things from Bath and Body works, such as: a little lamb, back massager, and body spray. I decided to decorate the wrapping paper with glitter, and I even hot-glued red buttons on to a brown paper bag. At the bottom is a BIG box of wrapping paper, but that's not all of the wrapping paper!! While I was wrapping gifts alllll night, I was drinking delicious Sounthern Compfort Egg Nog.. Mmm, Mmm, Goooooood!

The way tea should taste ..
This tea is by far the best tasting tea! It's called Gold Peak , I like it in the sweet tea, or the lemon flavor. Everytime I go to Publix, my mum and I always get one. (Plus it's by one get one free). I just thought I would post that , since im drinking mine right now. :)
Other then that, there is still more Christmas shopping to do! Im going shopping with my mum, I have no idea where.. maybe Charleston, Savannah, or Hilton Head. Who knows.. I just hope nothing is crowded yet , with it being Thursday and all.

Ohh the holidays!
Why are mum's so hard to shop for? .. When you think you know them.. you find out, you don't. And that they are the hardest to shop for! Maybe it's because my mum pretty much has everything. Like all the material things, besides a new car.. she say's she wants a new body, and I would love to give it to her.. but I really can't do that. (Im going to try to help though)! I did find some small things she will like. I would like to post them, but she likes to read my blog, so that wouldn't be the best of idea's. Actually, my dad and my brother are also hard to shop for! They both like pretty much the same thing.. which is fishing! I don't know what to pick out though.. that's like telling them to go into Victoria Secret and get compfy undies, they would most likely come out with something down-right sleezy and uncomfortable. Anywho, I wish I could find some fun stuff. Like she wants new kitchen bowls, but when you live in a small town like this, that's hard to find. Oh well, im going shopping one of these days, maybe I will find some more mothery stuff. If you have any ideas, let me know-

Lay all your love on me ..
(I have been under the weather the past few days, that's why I haven't been able to write anything, but im better now).
I finally saw Mamma Mia! I actually liked it. . the music kind of gets to you in a way. This is my favorite song, maybe it's because the guy that plays Sky, has a really nice voice and a nice body.. esp. when they are both lying on the beach.. oh wow! : ) But every song is good.. except when Pierce Brosnan sings, it's kind of funny. But if you want a movie with good music, watch Mamma Mia! It even has a sing-a-long ! I hope you like this video , the guy's in their flippers are rather funny!

Old Navy Women's Sherpa-Lined Vests $20.00
101 Salivations: For the Love of Dogs by Rachael Hale
Bayla Light Vintage Skinny Jean $24.75

You feeling strong my man, call me Elf one more time!
Elf ... the movie ... it's not just any movie ... it's the all-time best movie!
Im watching it right now if you didn't know.
I think it's the best Christmas movie , other then the Grinch Stole Christmas..

"Going to the woods is going home"- John Muir
The top photo is the house im working at right now with my Dad. It's a little house, well big house, nestled in the woods, near a swamp. I love being in nature and taking pictures. I hope you enjoy them. The tree trunk with moss covered all over it is a favorite of mine.
