Work, work.. all day long.

It's the weekend! I have been working every day with my Father on Bray's Island, being a slave. It's about time the weekend has arrived! It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't so hot outside.. it's really unpleasant to be working in the sun, even when I'm not in the sun it's still bad, cause there are no fans. Your probably wondering what I do, my Father is a contractor.. well okay, maybe not a contractor but more of a Carpenter, the man knows how to fix anything, he is a genius. (Now if only he would finish our house). Anyways, he is closing in a car port, which means putting up walls, installation, wiring, painting, putting in a garage door, stapling wood shingles to the outside.. it's just a lot of labor. Since I didn't make it to school this semester, I have to work, work is hard to find in Beaufort, so I'm forced to work with him. Well, not forced.. but yeah.
I wish I could find a fun job. (I guess everyone does, huh). I would like to find a job that has to do with decorating or remodeling, maybe even a clothing store like Forever 21, or Ralph Lauren.. or World Market, Pier One, West Elm.. I hate living in a small town. I guess I'll just have to be a Mexican for a little bit longer.
I wonder what I'm going to do over the weekend, possibly sleep, go to the beach.. we will see.

They are in better place, trust me..

Yesterday I attended a burial at the National Cemetery in Beaufort. Jason's Grandfather passed away on Friday. It was a lovely service, the American flag over the casket, a soldier played the trumpet, there were lot's of beautiful flowers, and I must say a good bit of people. It was kind of awkward at first, I didn't really know any of Jason's family cause they came from Walterboro S.C., but they were really welcoming people. I met his Grandmother, also know as "Maw", she was a sweet lady, she seemed so cozy and warm as I hugged her and told her how sorry I was for her loss. She wants to get a bob wire tattoo! I thought that was pretty hard core for someone her age, but hell, who says you can't get a tattoo at that age! I liked being there for Jason, and I'm glad I got to go to the burial. I wish I would have gotten to go to the Funeral but I had absolutely nothing to wear! (That sounds kinda childish, but I like to look good..). Jason was one of the Paul Bearers so I had to stand with his siblings. I tried to see if he would tear up, but he later on told me that he almost did when the soldier handed Maw the flag, aww.. I told him to let it all out. Guys.. they never listen. But his Grandfather is in a much better place, that's the nice thing about death, you go home, and wait for everyone to come.
Other then that, nothing has happened..
But today is Jason and my self's 5 month Anniversary! :)

Yummmy!

I'm craving a peach smoothie right now, mmhmm.
My trick is:
throw in some frozen peaches,
one non-frozen peach, (include skin),
peach yogurt,
a little under two cups of milk,
some honey &
some ice.
Try it, it's really delicious! :)

Hey, I never knew..

I think I have found the best magazine! It's Southern Living! I know what your thinking... isn't that about the south, old people, country/antique style, and blah blah blah.. eww! Well, that's kind of what I thought.. until.. I went to our local library which has a basket of give away magazines that you can bring and take. Someone dropped off a whole bunch of really good magazines including Southern Living, I was kinda of like nahh, I'll pass, but I ended up taking a few (I should have taken them ALL). When I got home I started flipping through it, it had Florida beaches to Asheville N.C. mountains, beautiful little gardens, decorating, places to visit in the south.. I was like wow! I really like it, it shows the real south.. except it did say one of the best smaller towns in the south were Beaufort, they are wrong! Hah, but it's nice to know they are talking about my home town. So if you haven't flipped through this wonderful Southern Magazine, go out & buy one today! (Maybe you will want to try out some of their small towns listed).

Capturing horse's...

I am loving 'horse' photography. The two colorful pictures are from a seller on Etsy, lidgardphoto... you can look up some of his photo's, these two just happen to be my fav's. I'm not really sure where the other photo is from.. which kinda sucks, cause it's sooooo beautiful! But any type of horse photo's are amazing, especially when the photo's are of wild horse's.

Let's go to the Lake!

Take me away from South Carolina and set me in Lake Tahoe, please? I have never been to Lake Tahoe, the most Western place I have been is Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado.. (All three places were truly amazing, the terrain is so different). But I would love to go to Lake Tahoe.. just to play in the beautiful clear water and sun bathe on the rocks for a day.. sounds so relaxing.

Muscadine Season..

Yummy, let's talk about one of my favorite's apart from cherries! It's Muscadine Grapes, also known as Bull Grapes .. When we go to Charleston, there is a Grape Farm on Hwy 17 in Ravenal, S.C. You can pick your own Bull's for a $1.75 Lb. or buy a basket full, which is what we do, they are usually anywhere priced from $13-$25 a basket. You can get them in green or purple, but you have to wait later in the month for the little purples. You can get them between August and September. We have two vine's that we bought from Lowe's growing on our garden fence, they are getting bigger in size now that they have been there for two years. We aslo have wild one's in our yard, which makes a good snack when your cutting grass or playing in the yard. They are just so fun to eat.. they are nice and tasty! If you haven't had this Southern Grape, come to the South and get a basket full, you'll love em'!

Smells like grapefruit...

I was in desperate need for a facial wash, so I thought I would try Neutrogena Grapefruit Face Wash. I can actually start telling a difference in my face just after three days, all my acne and blackheads (on my nose) are starting to clear up, yay! Clinque products are just horrible, same with Proactiv. Toner just makes things worse, and lets not talk about moisturizer! For now I will just stick with Neutrogena, it makes my face look and feel great! .. I also think my mom is using it, which tells you something cause she usually uses Orgins Face Washes. So if you are having probles like I am, give it a try.

Charleston Style..

Style:

Charleston South Carolina, is a quite the fashionable town, or place to look for unique style. Nobody here is the same, you can find many different styles, which is the best part! There are many stores all from Louis Vuitton, Tommy Bahama, Saks Fifth Avenue, Urban Outfitters, Lacoste.. and so on. I just love going on King Street, looking at every bodys style. If you are ever looking for style, do try traveling to Chuck Town, go grab a coffee' at Starbucks, find a good seat near a window, and watch everyone walk on by.
