Wow, what a weekend!

This weekend turned out to be lots of funnn! It was my friend's Sweet Sixteenth Birthday on Thursday, so on Friday, we celebrated it by getting veryyy fancy & going out to eat at Bateaux! *Which is a very expensive restaurant in Port Royal*. I had such an amazing night! It was an all girl's night out, just having fun, eating tasty dishes, such as; oysters, potato's, vegetable pad thai noodles with egg plant dumplings, bread, ribeye (which I didn't try but heard it was perfect) and ofcourse cake & champagne!

My Saturday consisted of cleaning the house because Jake, my boyfriend, was finally coming over!!! We watched two movies, Four Brothers & Knocked Up on the living room floor . Mum cooked us up some delicious shrimp, with cucumber salad, corn and mashed potato's. *She also made a carrot cake*. Then that night I went to go Partaaay at Sasha's! Sunday consisted of sleeping on the living room floor all-day while the movie Flushed Away played over and over again.

Good Morning!

.. It's pretty earrrrrly in the morning for me to be up, but I have a job.. and it sucks! I thought I would write something since I haven't in a couple of days. But I have been working A Lot ! Oh yay- But it's not really that bad, all I have to do is go under a house, I have to take grout out between tiles in the bathroom; while my hands & back ache.. I heard next week im going to be sealing duct work. I can't wait!! Other then working this week, nothing has happened. I am going to a dinner tonight for a friend's birthday, so that will be nice. Then I am coming home & sleeping!

This is the house on Bray's Island that I have been working at. It's huge! You can't really tell .. but it is. The house on the left , is a four bedroom guest house. In the main house there is only two bedrooms, and lots of sitting rooms. I don't care for it at all, it's way too big. I do like their 3-car garage, it has a cute bathroom, and a pretty nice size storage room.

Anyways, I must be running off to my lovely job! Here's a picture I took yesterday on the way home from work. It's off the Whale Branch River. :)

Yes!

So my boyfriend, Jake, took me to Yes! Thai Indeed restaurant on Boundary Sreet, downtown! Even though it's a little restaurant, it's quite exspensive! But very tasty! I love how small it is , it feels romantic, with dimmed lights, and candles. Best service, probably cause I know everyone that works there. (Jake used to work there but now works at a new restaurant called Bricks). I got stir fried veggies with pad thai noodles, yumm! I would have taken a picture but I didn't want to be rude.

Then his boss brought us out dessert, ha! It was fried ice cream, over a donut with red little heart sauce. Adorable-

I can't wait to go back!

Anyways, I have started up running again! I have been running for three days in a row and just feel so alive. Tomorrow i'll probably take a break, I don't want to over do it. My legs are already worn out. Plus I have to water plants in New Point, :(

Mmm Shrimp!

October 3-4 was the Beaufort Shrimp Festival 08' !

The Beaufort Shrimp Festival is set for October 3-4, 2008 in historic downtown Beaufort. Plenty of shrimp will make this 14th annual event unforgettable.

The event opens with a free concert in the park Friday evening and includes a run and walk Saturday morning. Then the festival continues with free music, entertainment for kids, peeling contests and plenty of shrimp to eat. Enjoy local recipes and tastings from a dozen restaurants!

The Shrimp Festival was a lot of free fun! And tasty! I wish Beaufort held more events like this. It was actually better then Water Festival believe it or not. The next even is Night on the Town- I can't wait!

A fall morning..

It was quite nice and cool earlier this morning.. now it's turning hot again. But like I said , Beaufort never gets a fall .. it's either really hot or really cold. Anyways, it's the weekend! So im HAPPY! : ) Since it's October , I guess I should start decorating a little outside. Haning up some skeleton's on the tree's, putting spider webs all over the place, pumpkin displays.. (I do the outside, mum does the inside).

Update Please !

So I know it's been close to a month since I have posted anything, it's just that I am clueless when it comes to posting things everyday or every other day. Buttt, there is an update! I partied a little too hard a few weekends ago and ended up hurting my neck on a hammock, never try to jumping onto a swinging hammock backwards! So I was out for a few days..

Then my parents just bought a new refrigerator , and finally got rid of our 13 year old one! ( It's a Fisher Paykel). It's mighty little compaired to our other one. But it's super nice!.. It just doesn't have a ice machine.. only water! What's up with that!?

It's finally October!! Im super siked, it's one of my favorite holidays! I am so happy because there's so much to do in October! Like search for costumes (I bought my boyfriend and I banana costumes for Halloween!) . You can decorate the house with fall colors, and Halloweenish gestures! Oh, I forgot to mention.. I turned the back of a Season's Greeting's sign into a R.I.P. tomb stone!

I can't wait for Fall ..

I honestly can't wait for fall!!

I love everything about fall, the way the cool air feels in the morning, the way the leaves change colors, the smell of everyone burning leaves at night, having to wear a light coat and a scarf .. Oh, how I wish September 23 would come faster!

Then again, Beaufort doesn't really get a "fall" .. the leaves don't really change, they just stay green then fall off the tree's. Maybe this year will be different, and I will get a real fall!

I think one of the best places to go to to see leaves change colors, is Williamsburg Virginia! I barely got a glimpse of it last year, the leaves were slightly beautiful shades of red and orange, so maybe I will take a trip up there this fall.

What a week..

I have pretty much spent my week out on the boat and relaxing by the pool..

I have found the "Best" snack ever! I bought these Rice Crackers w/Seaweed at World Market. And I just Loveee them! They are great to eat while watching movies, on a car ride, or just for something to grab! I prefer the wasabi kind, but the original is just as good.

A Peaceful Place

I went to this place called Baker's Plant Nursery today and ended up spending $88.66 on some beautiful plants! (A.K.A.-My new baby's)!

My yard hasn't really been kept in years. My yard is plain, my family cuts the grass and we keep everything trimmed.. it's just we needed some new plants, since our other ones have grown up. (I will post pictures once they are happily in the ground).
